Meet at the lobby at 09:00 am. Cape of Rodon is located on the coast of Adriatic Sea on the west part of Albania. It is the biggest Cape in Albania. In Albanian folklore, Mount Tomorr is anthropomorphized and associated with the legendary figure of Baba Tomor, envisioned as an old giant with a long flowing white beard and four female eagles hovering above him and perching on his snow-covered slopes. According to German folklorist Maximilian Lambertz, Baba Tomor is the remnant of an Illyrian deity. Tomor Mountain’s varied geology and topography have resulted in a unique diversity of flora and fauna. Forests of the Tomorri National Park are composed of diverse specie of deciduous and coniferous trees and a great variety of flowers. Numerous species of large mammals such as wolves, foxes, wild boars, roe deers, wild goats, rabbits, golden eagles, owles, and sparrowhawks can be found inside the national park. The Cave of Pellumbas, or the Black Cave (Shpelle e Zezë), is about an hour hike outside the village of Pellumbas. The cave itself is approximately 360 meters deep, and inside are impressive stalagmites and stalactites, as well as bats flying around the cave. The inside of the cave is completely dark after single upon entrance. 40,000 years ago the cave was a home to ancient cave bears. It was later used as a settlement for ancient humans during the Middle Paleolithic period. During the World Wars, the cave was kept secret and used as a hiding spot for the villagers.

We will meet in the morning at 09:00 AM at hotel/meeting point and starting our trip to the lake of Bovilla . The road is about 21 km distance where half of it is off road. We will look at the suburban neighborhoods of Tirana where you will see a very different lifestyle from the city . We drive up the lake dam and after we reach Bovilla Lake we prepare to hike in Mount Gamti. The track to hike is a simple level where every step gives us a more beautiful view as we reach the top. Hiking lasts about 40 minutes. On the top of the hill there is an impressive view of the lake and the green hills surrounding it. Time to rest, to enjoy the gorgeous view, to play with each other, to talk and to eat food under the shadows of the cave. Returns to the same track takes about 30 minutes. We have a short stop at the river below the dam where the formed canyons are unique and, if you want, you can swim in the fresh water of the river. After all this adventure, we are ready to return in Tirana.
