The trek through the Ngorongoro Highlands into Lake Natron is one of the most off-the-beaten-path destinations in Northern Tanzania. The hugely popular parks of Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater are just around the corner, but you will have this area largely to yourselves. Additionally, you have the opportunity to climb Ol Doinyo Lengai, the world's only active carbonatite volcano. The landscape surrounding Lake Natron is unique in the world, as are the relatively untouched Maasai villages in this area.

Discover the wildlife in some of the world's most pristine environments - Lake Natron and the Serengeti. The first day you visit the beautiful Tarangire and overnight at Lodge/Camp where you can relax at the swimming pool. The next 3 days you'll be on the plains of Lake Natron and the Northern Serengeti, exploring its natural beauty, abundant wildlife and river forests. You will overnight in Tented Lodges or Hotels inside the park. An optional Serengeti Balloon Flight (not included in package price) can be arranged with a specialist tour operator. You'll next visit the amazing Ngorongoro crater - another World Heritage Site with an overnight in a tented camp/hotel close to the crater. The final day see a Maasai village and the Maasai market in Arusha.

These 7-days trekking tour takes you through the diverse landscapes of the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands. You will hike through grassy plains and the mountainous countryside as well as thick mountain forest and the savannah landscape of the Rift Valley.
