Spanish Guitar Concert at the Basilica of Santa Maria del Pi in Barcelona

The original guitarist was sick. We were offered a refund once we arrived (an e-mail beforehand would have been helpful). Or we could stay for a different performance. Of course we stayed, and we are glad we did, he was amazing!

This was a unique and beautiful setting to listen to this guitarist. The intimate chapel was lit to highlight the music of this extremely talented artist. She was amazing and the hour went by much to quickly. A great way to spend the he evening.

This was an excellent and very enjoyable concert with the Paco de Lucia classics. Beautiful setting too. The only adverse comment is that several people in the audience (presumably people who don’t get the opportunity to go out much!) insisted on recording it or taking photos on their mobile phones which rather detracted from the overall experience.So, in my opinion it would have been even better if they had asked people not to use their mobiles during the concert. (This must have been distracting for the guitarists too).
