Devil's Saddle (Sella del Diavolo)
Viale Calamosca 50, Cagliari
Sardinia is popular with outdoors enthusiasts, so there are plenty of chances to hike and even kayak around the promontory that includes the Devil’s Saddle. The hike up to the Devil’s Saddle is of medium difficulty.
Devils Saddle Trek and SnorkelTour from Cagliari with Franco
We were originally expecting the kayak tour, but the trek was probably even more picturesque with panoramic views from the highest points of Cagliari. Prepare for the kayak tour to cancel with wind and bring shoes with good traction. Some places are briefly a little narrow, and one short slippery spot after the snorkel, so if you have some fear of heights mentally prepare. Our family felt safe during the entire hike. Franco is an expert and often went out on some scary ledges for photo opportunities. He was an excellent guide. Not only was it a trek with the most beautiful views of Cagliari, he also was knowledgeable and included some Sardinia history on the way. The snorkel place was secluded, only accessible by foot or boat which made it even more special. Our whole family with 3 teenagers all had a great experience. A nice surprise was Franco sending beautiful photos of our mini adventure together.
