The Basics

The Moët & Chandon Champagne cellars are a highlight for visitors to the Champagne region, with roughly 17 miles (27 kilometers) of tunnels and vaults filled with aging bottles. Take a guided tour to explore the cellars on foot, get a behind-the-scenes look at the brand’s historic Champagne- and wine-making processes, and sample a selection of Moët & Chandon’s famous vintage Champagne varietals. Some tours feature the season’s newest wines, while others highlight Moët Imperial or a rosé variety. Full-day Champagne tours from Paris or Reims typically include a visit to the Moët & Chandon cellars.

Brilliant experience!
I travelled solo and the group I met on the tour was lovely! Our guide Nissa was amazing, she was personable, engaging and clearly knew a lot about the subject. My favourite part of the tour was tasting fresh grape juice from the harvested and pressed grapes when visiting a small producer, which only happens a few times a year!

Small-Group Day Tour of Moët et Chandon and Taittinger with Champagne Tasting from Reims
Informative and fun! Our guide, Rafael, couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. He was knowledgeable and personable … a pure joy! The tours and tastings were as advertised and the additional Champagne tasting and lunch was definitely worth the extra. Highly recommended.

Small-Group Day Tour of Moët et Chandon and Taittinger with Champagne Tasting from Reims
I was late, but they were very helpful and made sure that I get to the first house properly (They gave me a callback right away). So as not to waste my time, Rafael was very professional and kind - he gave me a tour of the town while others were doing their tour in the first champagne house. Throughout the tour, he made sure that we were comfortable and that we are enjoying the tour. He I very knowledgeable and gave so many insights and stories related to the town and basically all of France. It was such a memorable trip to the Champagne region. Thank you so much!

Champagne Day Trip to Moët & Chandon and Family Winery with Lunch from Reims
We had a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Tom was very professional and lots of fun. He could tell us a lot about the history, the region and the champagne making process. The visit to the houses was amazing and last but not least the tasting and lunch was memorable. Matthias and his crew did a fabulous job and we all felt this tour was an experience we would never forget. Good luck with all your great plans!! We would definitely recommend this tour to everyone! If you are looking for a Professional tour with a personal touch, this is it!!!!

Champagne Day Trip with Moet&Chandon, Reims Cathedral & Family Winery from Paris
This all day tour was exceptional and we had an amazing knowledgeable young lady named Olivia as our guide! I’m so happy we didn’t pass up this opportunity. Before heading to the Moët & Chandon cellars, we made a stop at a small family run cellar which was most enjoyable! Their Champagne was exquisite … now I’m wishing I purchased more to bring home to Texas!

Champagne Day Trip with Moet&Chandon, Reims Cathedral & Family Winery from Paris
Wonderful day wine tasting! We didn’t realize that we had to be there early so take note of the departure time and instructions, it cost us to catch up to the group after they left the departure point but it was worth the experience received once we caught up. Thankful that the tour was willing to help us catch up! Learning about Moet & Chandon along with Dom was very much a highlight but the part I loved the most was being at the smaller family winery and actually seeing the wine press in action and tasting that juice straight from the press. He was very hospitable and warm. Our tour guide also let us stop at a few of the vineyards for a few photo ops. There will be an opportunity to explore Eperney and grab lunch of your choice. Highly recommended tour!

Champagne Day Trip to Moët et Chandon and Family Winery with Lunch from Epernay
Dear Viator Team, thanks a lot for this wonderful and exciting tour with your guide Clara. After the 3 months shutdown of corona we got the first tour to visit Moet et Chandon. We were only two persons so that was really a personalised trip. Our guide Clara was a very friendly, professional and care taking person and we felt super well treated from her. She knew everything about Champagner. The introduction has been given on a wonderful view across the wine region. Afterwords we visited Moet and Chandon with a very passionated lady and tried 2 glasses of ICE Champagne. After this tasting we visited two other wineries and had lunch with a little quiz. It was great!! Overall we spent a fantastic day and this will not be the last time. We will definitely come back.

Champagne Day Trip with Moet&Chandon, Reims Cathedral & Family Winery from Paris
Tour guide Oliver was awesome and the Champagne region lived up to the hype. Really great information on the background of Champagne and famous cathedral. I do think the tour could've focused more on tastings, we went to 2 Champagne houses and at both we spent a lot of time hearing about the process, we learned the process at first house and had to listen to similar info again at the 2nd house. I believe most of the group expected more tasting and less talking. However, this was still a great tour, the countryside was gorgeous, and it was a perfect day trip from Paris.
