Museum of Croatian War of Independence (Homeland War Museum)

Accompanied by local tour guide and history professor, you'll visit 2 modern history museums, ride to the top of the Mount Srđ and dive into the events that we still feel and see today. The first stop is the Red History Museum (no. 1 museum in Croatia according to TripAdvisor). Its interactive and creative exhibition was founded by a team of young local designers, historians, journalists, photographers, and archeologists, and was supported by people all over Croatia who donated various items, photographs, and even their own life stories from this period. After a panoramic ride, you'll get to the top of Mount Srđ, which offers the best view of the city. On this strategic location, which was protected by defenders of Dubrovnik during the war in the early 1990s, you’ll hear more stories from those turbulent times in Homeland War Museum, located in the old Fort Imperial on top of the hill. After some photo time, the tour ends with a return drive back to the city.
