The Basics

Due to its immense popularity, the Uffizi Galleries is prone to long lines and extensive wait times—it's best to book skip-the-line admission to maximize your time. The gallery features a number of long, winding art-filled hallways, making it near-impossible to see everything on display, so small-group guided tours and self-guided audio tours are recommended to help you see the top pieces and give some context to the works you’re viewing. A visit is often combined with a stop at the nearby Accademia Gallery, which houses the Statue of David.

Skip-the-Line to Uffizi & Accademia with Michelangelo's David - Small Group Tour
Our guide was great and we enjoyed his commentary on the area and the republic and takeover by the Medici Family. Was surprised that it didn’t include a tour of either museum.
Don’t hesitate, book this tour!

Truly the best way to see two of Florence’s most important museums. Our guides Costanza & Jessica were highly educated on the subjects, incredibly kind & well organized. They made our trip to Florence & I will be forever grateful to them!

Arzo was so engaging. She got everyone interested and excited about the artists and the art! I would totally refer her to friends and family because she brought us to the most important pieces for the time that was allotted in each museum.

Skip-the-Line to Uffizi & Accademia with Michelangelo's David - Small Group Tour
The tour was not what I expected but better. Although it was advertised as the Uffizi and Academie, it began with a walking tour of the city. It was very informative and I really enjoyed our tour guide. She was knowledgeable and fun.

What Not To Miss at the Uffizi Galleries

Although art enthusiasts are bound to enjoy every piece, a few highlights include the Medici collection (gifted to the museum in the 18th century) and the Caravaggio works on the first floor. Other must-sees include Botticelli’sThe Birth of Venus; da Vinci's only completed panel painting,The Annunciation; and Titian'sVenus of Urbino. Together with Raphael’s portraits and Michelangelo’sTondo Doni, these works signify the height of the Italian Renaissance.
