Wekiwa Springs and Wekiva Island are set in pristine scenery and provide a fun filled day of activities for the whole family. You will have the opportunity to swim in the natural spring, explore walking trails and rent a kayak/canoe to explore the natural wonders of the Wekiwa River. Wekiva Island is highly recommended for lunch and drinks and is accessible down river. You will need to rent a canoe or kayak to make the trip. Give yourself at least 1 hour travel to get there and 1.5 hours to get back to the park. Along the way you might see turtles, gators and other native animals in the surrounding swamp land. If you choose not to head down river to Wekiva Island, there are plentiful food options within the park to keep your stomach full.
