The Basics

Covering a hillside just opposite the Alhambra, Sacromonte is one of the city’s most atmospheric and fascinating barrios. Twilight tours of the maze-like Albaicin (the Arab Quarter) often include a stroll through Sacromonte, as well, in part for the stellar views of the Alhambra illuminated at night. Many visitors come to the neighborhood to watch a flamenco show in one of the gitano caves; those with an interest in dance can even sign up for a private lesson.

We were provided the incorrect meeting departure location by Viator, but our guide Alvaro was patient and waited for us. He was a great guide who knew almost everything about Granada and was so helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone

Sacromonte and Albaicin Monumental Segway Tour in Granada
Wonderful trip. Save the time and book this trip and so you don’t have to walk up hills and deal with the heat. George is super knowledgeable about the city and takes pictures for you and even gives restaurant recommendations! Would do another tour with him if we came back to Granada

Sacromonte and Albaycin Walking Tour
This wonderful walking tour to see Albaycin and Sacromonte areas in Granana definitely exceeded our expection. Oour tour guide is Jose. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. He speaks really good English. Throughout this tour, he provided a lot of insights for us to understand more about this beautify city. He even took us to the best spots to see Alhambra in the evening. We are very pleased with the tour and would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Granada.

Granada Walking Tour: Albaicin and Sacromonte Quarters
Josh was an excellent and interesting tour guide who spoke English very well. Tour provided fascinating sights and stories. Great to be able to go into a Sacromonte Cave home. The only addition I would have liked would have been to go into one of the Albaicín homes, though the tour guide, Josh, did point out one that we could visit and explore ourselves later.

Private Tour of The historical Center: Albaicín, Sacromonte and Sagrario
Yesterday, we did a tour of the historical center of Granada. We were lead by our guide Conchi, who did a fabulous job showing us the different places and explaining their history. Conchi was the perfect guide as she has a very lifely and entertaining way and at the same time very knowledgeable... not a dull moment. At the same time she is a native from Granada and knows a lot about the local habits. If you are looking for an entertaining way to explore Granada's rich history Conchi is the perfect guide.

Sacromonte and Albaycin Walking Tour
We had so much fun exploring that part of the city. The neighborhood is gorgeous and the historical context offered by our tour guide (Josh) helped put everything in perspective. I would do it again if I'm ever back in town.

Granada Walking Tour: Albaicin and Sacromonte Quarters
Irene our guide was very informative. Her English was very good and she answered all our questions. I only hated waiting so much for everyone, but i guess that's what happens in all groyp tours

When to Get There

Most visitors explore the neighborhood in the evening before or after a flamenco performance. One of the most festive times of year in Sacromonte is Holy Week (Semana Santa) when gitano parties spill into the streets and the procession of the Gypsy Christ is held.

Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte

If you’re interested in seeing what one of the Sacromonte cave dwellings would have looked like when the gitano first settled in the neighborhood, pay a visit to the Museu Cuevas del Sacromonte. Located at the top of the hill, the museum features 10 caves, all designed to resemble those from a century ago.
