The Basics

The Last Supper is incredibly popular, and it can be very difficult to get access. In order to preserve the mural, a maximum of 30 visitors are allowed to view the painting at any one time, and only for 15 minutes.

Fortunately, tours can help you lock in those high-demand tickets and customize your experience—spend a day visiting Milan's must-see sites with an art historian guide; opt for an expedited tour with skip-the-line The Last Supper access; or combine The Last Supper with stops at the Milan Duomo, the La Scala Opera House, and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Walking tour with Charles
Charles, our guide, was good and thorough. He has a sense of humor and wickedly irreverent in a nice way. We highly recommend him.

Milan Half-Day Sightseeing Tour with da Vinci's 'The Last Supper'
Roberta was extremely knowledgeable. This tour is pretty comprehensive and it covers all the popular spots. Highly suggest booking as they have the access for skip the line and tickets purchased ahead of time as to secure entrances to the Duomo and The Last Supper.

Massimo was a great tour leader and had much to say about his city of Milan. His insight made the sites we saw more interesting.

Milan Half-Day Sightseeing Tour with da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' with Hotel Pickup
Bus to 'The Last Supper' was clean, excellent guide, got great pictures of the painting. Also saw the Domo - amazing! Somewhat late because of rain and big line/group to wait on.

Skip the Line: Leonardo da Vinci Walking Tour of Milan Including 'The Last Supper' Ticket
I booked a tour several months ago “Grand Milan Tour” that’s supposed to include the Last Supper but the tour ended at the La Scala without the Last Supper! I know the tickets for the Last Supper sell out months in advance but fortunately I got 4 tickets for the same day! It’s a timed ticket for 15 minutes with a tour group and it was memorable.

Best of Milan Experience Including Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' or Vineyard and Milan Duomo Tour
Our guide did a great job of showing us the highlights of Milan. However he delivered over and above, the tour lasting an hour longer and including stops additional to the itinerary. Value for money!

Milan Half-Day Sightseeing Tour with da Vinci's 'The Last Supper'
A lot is packed into this half day tour - we opted for the afternoon tour. Highlights include the Duomo, La Scala museum and Da Vinci’s Last Supper . If you want a ‘taster’ this is the tour for you . As I said a lot is packed in and it did feel a little rushed with a lot of clock watching from the tour guide .

Best of Milan Experience Including Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' or Vineyard and Milan Duomo Tour
Our guide, Charles was fanstastic. A wealth of knowledge presented in a detailed, but non overwhelming way, and with a lot of humour. We saw a lot of Milan in one day, including Da Vinci's Last Supper and the Duomo but it never felt rushed. He also gave us a lot of local knowledge which really helped with my stay in Milan. I cant recommend this tour highly enough.

Freda, our guide was very knowledgable and so enthusiastic! She shared the process of fresco painting and with her exciting voice really brought us into the actual creation of the art. Her presentations were lively and really added so much to the experience.

Da Vinci's Milan

Often considered the city of Da Vinci—and his adopted hometown—Milan is home to many of the polymath's most famous works, including The Last Supper. After admiring said painting, head to the Ippodromo di Milano to admire a horse sculpture modeled on Da Vinci's drawings; then, visit the Ambrosiana Gallery where you can marvel over his Codex Atlanticus, as well as pieces by Caravaggio and Raphael.
