The Basics

Valid for three consecutive days, basic Met tickets include access exhibits at the museum’s three branches: the Met Fifth Avenue, the Met Breuer, and the Met Cloisters. Visit on a hop-on hop-off bus tour and peruse the Met’s vast collection on your own, or see the highlights on a private tour with an expert guide. Skip-the-line tickets and VIP after-hours admission are also available for visitors who want to save time and escape the crowds. Similarly, travelers can choose an EmptyMet tour to visit before the museum opens and partner up with an art expert to enjoy an intimate view of the collection’s most famous exhibits.

Good tour but not as advertised

The Best of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2 Hours
The tour was good but not what we expected. It was advertised as a comical tour showing quirky items but instead was more about some of the favorite pieces as a tour guide without any comedy.

Perfect way to take in all The Met has to offer

Skip-the-Line Metropolitan Museum of Art Semi-Private Tour
Our guide Mark made this tour! He was so knowledgeable and excited to tell us all about The Met. We learned a lot of history about the Museum but also learned about taking in art! We were practically the only ones in a room full Van Goghs —what an experience. Great way to visit this huge, amazing museum without being overwhelmed. Highly recommend this tour.

Jonathan was fantastic! He took us around to some great works of art and gave us not only history and story but encouraged us to give our own impressions. We had a great time and he made it one our best tours while in NYC!

Highlights of the Metropolitan Museum Guided Tour
Katie was a fabulous entertaining and knowledgeable guide. We had quite a large group and she kept us altogether and moving along nicely. My favourite part by far was the impressionist paintings & ending up on the roof top with those amazing views was fabulous. Well done Katie and thank you

Highlights of the Metropolitan Museum Guided Tour
On this walking tour of the Met, our tour guide Katie was excellent -- her insights about the art pieces were the best part of the tour. She projected well, told a lot of great stories, and was fun to listen to. I liked that the group we were with was fairly small (about 8 total I think).

Skip the Line: Metropolitan Museum of Art and 2 Self-guided tours
It's so easy and comfortable! I just had to download the ticket and show it at the entrance. The time was indicated on the ticket so I didn't wait long. The city's audio guides were perfect as well. I really loved this experience and recommend it.
