The Basics

Most tours exploring Banderas Bay’s terrestrial and aquatic offerings leave from Puerto Vallarta. Explore the bay’s waters on a snorkeling excursion, some of which also include kayaking and a visit to Marietas Islands National Park. If you’re a certified diver, you can opt for a scuba diving tour to explore undersea tunnels, hidden caves, and reefs brimming with tropical fish. Sailing tours are another option for experiencing the picturesque bay. On land, you can pedal along the coastline on a biking tour, delve into local culture on a taco-tasting tour, or explore the jungle on a day trip to nearby Las Caletas.

Sailing Banduras Bay
The whole trip was perfect, sailing with a great crew, great food and lots of sunshine. Saw a few whales and dolphins on the way to a beautiful Sandy cove where we snorkelled, paddle boarded and lounged on a lily pad.

Sunset Sailing on Banderas Bay
Highly recommend! Was a perfect experience. Boat was super luxurious and clean, and not too crowded. The crew was amazing! It was just the right amount of time on the boat, and the sunset was obviously incredible. So worth it!

Day Sailing on Banderas Bay
Good trip overall but snorkeling was a total bust with very murky water - they should have mentioned that as this was part of the advertised trip.

Day Sailing on Banderas Bay
Our family had a fantastic time sailing in Banderas Bay. The 50 foot sailboat was in excellent condition and the staff, food, beverages and amenities greatly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this tour!

Day Sailing on Banderas Bay
Amazing day in the water. They used the motor to go out and sail in. Wish it were all sail. I also did not enjoy the number of people on the boat. It was too crowded for everyone to enjoy front of boat. Staff were attentive. Overall 7/10

Sunset Cruise

Sunset Sailing on Banderas Bay
The crew was excellent. Attentive yet professional. Their craft was emasculate. They diffidently provided more than was expected with a sunset cruise.
