San Francisco Dungeon

Daily
145 Jefferson Street, San Francisco, California

The Basics

San Francisco Dungeon consists of 10 different scenes from the city’s past, including a Wild West saloon, a gold mine shaft, a courtroom, Chinatown streets, and a ship manned by shanghaied sailors. Expect sensory effects, and ghoulish yet lighthearted audience participation as you move through each attraction on foot.

Timed admission tickets can be purchased in advance and mean that you avoid waiting in the ticket line on arrival. The dungeon is also included on several San Francisco attraction and sightseeing passes, and can be visited in conjunction with Madame Tussaud's wax museum, located next door, with a combo ticket.

I loved the information of the audio tour. I've been to the city but the audio portion had so much insight into the diverse history of the city. Highly recommend but bring a light jacket.

Brad was excellent at getting us another bus due to crowd size etc. The tour of the city was nice. A good way to see the city. Only downsize was the audio. Could here the music but not the tour/city information.

Along Fisherman’s Wharf

San Francisco Dungeon fits easily into a day spent at Fisherman’s Wharf, one of San Francisco's most popular destinations. Come face-to-face with California's marine life at Pier 39, known for its wild sea lions and Aquarium of the Bay, or cruise beneath the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz Island on a San Francisco Bay cruise. Dine on clam chowder and sourdough bread at a waterfront restaurant, finishing on a sweet note with a chocolate treat at Ghirardelli Square.
