Penney, our distillery, tasting room, and gift shop are located in the heart of downtown Bellingham in an 18,000 square foot historic building built in 1911.

Save time, and save money! The experience does not require the hassles of taking a ferry to San Juan Island. Anacortes, located on Fidalgo Island has two bridges connecting us to the mainland. Because you are able to drive directly to us your time on the water is maximized. Many tour companies on other islands include a lengthy shuttle ride as a part of their trip thereby reducing the actual time spent kayaking and encountering wildlife. Single kayaks are available for participants for an additional $25pp. Must be 18 years or older. (Must be requested in advance and is subject to availability.) At peak current at over 8 knots (9.5 mph) almost 900 million gallons of water pour through Deception Pass. That’s 50 times more flow that all the rivers in the Puget Sound. You can see why there is a 4.5 foot height difference in the water level from one side of the pass to the other! But don’t worry, the boat is equipped with latest safety equipment. Captain Brett and crew will ensure safe passage and an entertaining time for all! The Island Whaler is a New Zealand designed jet drive catamaran. The catamaran style and foil assist ensures a soft and stable ride in any conditions. The open deck seating will give you the best 360° viewing opportunity and interaction with the surrounding elements.

Welcome Aboard the High Seas! We are currently offering two departures daily (12:00 PM & 3:00 PM). This is a 2-hour cruise. Guests will relax in comfort and safety aboard a beautifully restored 1935 John Alden motor yacht once owned by Hollywood royalty. Our cruise will last approximately two hours from departure to return. Along our route we will pass Orcas Island, Shaw Island, Crane Island and Pole Pass. Throughout the cruise the Captain will be explaining the tales and lore behind many of these unique and culturally historic areas. You are welcome to sit back, relax and marvel in the majestic tranquility of the San Juan waterways. This is very unique way to experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest Islands.
