Peles Castle (Castelul Peles)

Aleea Peleșului 2, Sinaia, Romania

The Basics

The interior of Peles Castle is richly adorned with carvings, inlay, antiques, and artworks, and can be seen only on guided tours. Join a shorter tour of the ground floor only, or a longer tour that includes the upper level of the palace.

Day trips and multi-day tours of Transylvania often combine Peles Castle with visits to other historic landmarks in the region, such as Bran Castle and Râșnov Fortress. You can also explore both Peles Castle and Pelisor Castle, an art-nouveau-style royal residence on the same estate.

Small-Group Day Trip to Dracula's Castle, Brasov and Peles Castle from Bucharest
The two castles and the beautiful countryside were wonderful as was Braşov. Our guide, Stephania, was personable and extremely knowledgeable. Although it was 14 hours long, we highly recommend this tour!

Bran Castle and Rasnov Fortress Tour from Brasov with Optional Peles Castle Visit
A fantastic tour with a fantastic guide. Charlie was the best - he had so much knowledge about everything, even all the random questions we asked. The tour was very fun, with lots of cool sights and lots of laughs. He also went the extra mile to show us all the best photo ops and things that weren’t officially on the tour. I cannot recommend this tour enough and will be telling any of my friends that find themselves in Brasov. Thank you for a wonderful day!!!!

Castles Day Tour Peles - Bran - Rasnov from Brasov
Florin is a great guide. He picked me up on time at the accommodation. We went in the morning already to avoid the crowd and traffic which was a great idea. I loved his knowledge and explanations, he answered all the questions I had, and he was flexible. I had the chance to take all the time I wanted in the castles. It is clear that he is an experienced guide, so I definetly recommend this tour a lot! It is a great way to see and get to know all 3 places in 1 day.

Small-Group Day Trip to Dracula's Castle, Brasov and Peles Castle from Bucharest
Loved exploring Romania outside of Bucharest. This tour gave us a small, but enjoyable taste of what the country has to offer. Stefania was an amazing guide who had an extreme amount of knowledge. I would recommend her as a guide to anyone.

Dracula's Castle, Peles Castle and old town of Brasov from Bucharest
This is a long day. I was picked up 745am and its a good 2 and half hours to Peles after picking up others. Our guide was great at Peles Castle. Fast tracked and lots of info. Had an hour and 15 min then in Brasov. Just time for food and quick walk. Then Bran Castle. I only spent 30 min inside. Found it more impressive outside. Lovely stalls to stroll around before 3 hour trip home. Would still recommend. Guide did not spend ages at each attraction which was good. V good value

Day trip:Peles Castle , Bran Castle and Rasnov Fortress Tour from Brasov
Peles Castle is simply amazing! I visited lots of castles in France, Denmark, Italy, and Britain, but this one is one of my favorites castles! Unfortunately, Rasnov Fortress is still in renovation, for at least 2 more years, they say.
