Skip the Line E-Tickets Taj Mahal with mausoleum Admission

We booked the option of a combined skip the line Taj Mahal and Agra fort guided trip. Unfortunately we were left regretting this decision. The tour was very rushed, we struggled to keep up with our guid at times in the crowd of the monuments and streets. The tour was okay but there wasn’t much content to the tour, more the guid taking lots of photos of you rather than giving you information about the monuments. Our guide picked us up from our hotel and we walked to the taj. He then arranged a rickshaw for us to go to the fort and back to the hotel for 200INR which we were happy with. All of this was okay until our guide finished with us at Agra fort and then took us to a small out of the way shop where they were making various souveriours out of marble, all of which were very expensive. His friend in the shop kept saying there was no pressure to buy yet led us through 3 rooms selling various things and showing us things and waiting quietly even though we had said no. It was very uncomfortable for us. When we finally made it out of this ‘little extra stop’ and we were relieved to be back at our hotel, our guide had the cheek to ask for tip and said ours wasn’t enough! We were happy to give a tip as is customary but Having already paid for the tour and having had the experience we had I was gobsmacked at the audacity of the guide. My recommendation would be not to bother. But your tickets yourself and hire a guide whilst your at the taj (you really do t need one for the fort) if you really want one. It’ll be much cheaper for you if you do! And you won’t end up uncomfortable in a random shop that your friends guide owns!

The guide was very kind but the explanations weren’t always clear. If you’re a Spanish speaker, go for a Spanish-speaking guide.

I would not use this service again. It was difficult to use. The process was confusing, and cost us valuable time. We ended up having a local guide help us, otherwise we may not have even got the tickets in the first place.
