Our day trip to Meteora was well-planned and executed. Our guide Yannis was hospitable and accommodating. He ensured that we were well taken care of from beginning to end. As for the experience at Meteora, it was breathtaking. You have to see it in order to believe it. It was well worth the 4 hour ride there and back.

My wife and I had a fantastic time and Janis made it comfortable and was full of information about Athens and every sight along the way. The drive didn’t even feel as long as we expected although it was the full 4 hrs each way. Janis had bottled water and some snacks but I would recommend bringing something, you can leave it in the car between stops at each monastery. You are only out side as long as you want to spend in each monastery which was great on a 35°F day. Lunch was amazing too. It’s worth the money and time on the road, must see!

From Athens, it’s 400 km. A long ride even with a good Mercedes and a great professional driver. But, it’s worth the ride and all the steps required to get to the different monasteries. Awesome!

Meteora is a something not to be missed while your in Greece. Spectacular scenery and a pleasant drive from Athens. Highly recommend a visit to at least 3 Monasteries as they are all so different but so beautiful. Ioannis Panousopoulos was an excellent driver and very helpful with other suggestions for things to do/see while in Athens!
