See the most in the shortest amount of time!

We got a little lost walking to the meeting point (Google Maps is not very Athens-friendly), but our guide, Dimos, was very understanding and accommodating to our late arrival. He was quick to put us on bikes where we then headed out to see more sites than possible by foot! It was just my boyfriend and I so this was like a private tour. Dimos was very clear with directions and it was easy to follow him (the electric-assist feature proved very useful going up hills- I recommend the upgrade). He would stop occasionally to speak about the sites and allow time for us to take pictures. We stayed out of the main traffic by going through areas that seemed a little less "touristy" and he covered all of the history, as well. There were stops at a church (where mass was taking place), the original, modern Olympic stadium, and a ride through the gardens where he ensured we saw the palm trees which were a gift from Florida. A highlight was getting to see the changing of the guard ceremony at the President's house- it was unlike any change ceremony I have ever seen! We also went to a café for real, Greek iced cappuccino where he taught us the proper way to order it in regard to sugar levels. We ended with sunset at Hadrian's Gate, which provided some beautiful pictures. Above and beyond, Dimos recommended a store by the tour office where we could find great craft beer, and also sent an additional e-mail including his recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and other things to see. This was a fun experience I highly recommend!

Athens by Bike at Sunset
James

As Demos said, a bike tour is the first activity one should do when seeing a new city. I wholeheartedly agree. This was a great overview as we covered a lot of ground quickly. It also informed future tours and activity. Great experience!

Best Tour I Have Been On

Demos was amazing. He is a wonderful person as a guide and just a fun person to talk to about different topics like history and culture. I would recommend him to anyone for any tour. He is truly passionate about what he does. He even treated me to a nice cup of Greek Ice Coffee. This was the best tour I have been on in many years of traveling.

This was an excellent way to see the best of Athens and at sunset too and get exercise. I always do a bike tour when I visit a city for the first time and Kostas was the best guide so far. Warm knowledgeable funny and patient. He even helped me get a cab to our beach resort for the wedding i was attending in Athens.

Best way to see Athens

Dmitri is amazng! He’s told us to say that, but it’s true. We had one day in Athens and wanted to see as much as possible. This is a low exercise tour with a few short hills. The bikes are in great shape. You get to see everything in the old city in 3 hours. You do not go up to the Parthenon, but you see it from multiple amazing views. Dmitri’s knowledge of the city is endless and he made the trip the highlight of our stay in Athens.

Great tour and great tour guide. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. The tour took us through parts of the city that we never would have gotten to on our own. Definitely recommend.

We did the evening tour and absolutely loved it! You cover a lot of ground over 3 hours and in the process get a great overview of both modern and ancient Athens. We had the very charming Demitris as our guide, a young man who clearly knows the city and loves to share the history of Athens with you. I highly recommend this tour for ages 10 and up. There are some hills and lots of pedestrians to deal with, so be sure you are fit enough to spend a few hours mostly pedaling around Athens. Enjoy!
