Provence Full Day Private Tour with Professional Guide from Avignon

Sandy, our guide, was professional, knowledgable, flexible and friendly. As it was a "make your own itinerary", we chose to go a bit out of the area to Aix en Provence (since we would no other chance to visit this wonderful city), and then the Luberon Valley. She took us through the highlights of City Centre, Aix-en-Provence, then in the Luberon area chose excellent spots for us to eat, sightsee and explore. We stopped in Lourmarin, a charming little town with an interesting castle, drove us through several other nearby villages, then to an overlook over the beautiful Luberon Valley, and on to the village of LaCoste for us to explore and end the day. It was a great trip, and we would highly recommend both the excursion and Sandy.

We have used Viator countless times and never had an issue until this tour. We were misled and deceived. We had booked Provence Full Day Private Tour with Professional Guide from Avignon and it was a disaster from the beginning. We got to the agreed pick up point and wasted 15 minutes in search of the transportation and only after multiple messages via the viator app. To our surprise, the transportation was a small sedan and we were a party of 4 adults. There was no guide only an elderly driver that spoke very little English. On top of that he was really sick (had a cough and cold) and most likely gave my daughter covid. When we complained about our ride and the lack of a professional guide to the driver he said he was contracted last minute and has no idea. We were basically driven to the small villages dropped off and given 40-60 minutes to explore on our own. Without any context, all the cities look the similar with same 5 tourist trap stores. For the city of Gordes we didn't even enter the city it was a scenic stop to take a "picture" from far away. We stopped at Rossily, St Remy and Arles but it was meaningless as we had no context nor history. If I could I would rate them a -5 stars but can't. We paid close to $1000 for tour and were deceived on what was contracted. Worst of all the driver was sick....
