Great education on the layout of the city!

We really enjoyed our guide. She had a real passion for Barcelona and the history and architecture. We learned a lot and enjoyed the challenge of cycling through the city. The activity didn't exactly match the description in Viator's ad that said we would enjoy the e-bikes because of the hills and panoramic views. There were no hills or panoramic views. We remained in the city at sea level, but it was still wonderful. Viator needs to change the description.

Touring Barcelona on an e-bike seemed like a great way to see neighborhoods. We did an e-bike tour in Athens through Viator that was great! Unfortunately, our tour guide, Eponine, did not give us a good experience. We felt like she did not really want to do this tour. The e-bikes were not maintained well and she did not teach us how to use them or offer a helmet. Traffic in Barcelona is crazy, she was always ahead of us at a lengthy distance and made crossing streets very dangerous. When the light turns yellow she should have stopped. Would not wait for other to explain sites. I recommend that Eponine take a tour guide course to learn how to do her job. Other Viator tours we took on this trip, the tour guides were great. Dissatisfied!

Love the ebikes!

Ebikes are very easy, and really fun. We could do distances and elevations that would be a challenge on bikes. For this extensive introduction to Barcelona, they were perfect. Great itinerary! Olga, our fun Russian guide did a great job presenting Barcelona to us. It didn’t start out as a private trip, we simply got lucky. Highly recommend this trip.

This was a great way to spend my first day in Barcelona. Besides that Olga was very knowledgeable and friendly it helped me to get a lot of informationabout the city and the lay of the land. It started to downpour at the end of the trip and she was happy to continue on. Service with a smile! I’ve never been a tour person but she made it fun. She tapers the ride to your preference so it’s perfect.

Had a Blast!

We had a great time with this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and professional. We traveled all around the city. There would have been no way to see all the sites we did by foot. The e-bikes were easy to operate once we got used to them, very little pedaling was required. If we could give 4.5 stars we would have.

Worth the extra money

I'm a big researcher before purchases and couldn't find a bike tour that was what we wanted and was leery about being in too large of a group and being unable to hear what the guide had to say or getting lost in a long line of tour participants so I decided to spend the extra money and book this tour & I'm so glad I did! For one, there was no worrying about making it to the meeting point on time and being left behind, so less stress right from the beginnng. We arrived right on time and Olga was waiting for us with a big smile on her face. She escorted us on a quick walk back to the bikes and gave us a short tutorial. We are a family of 4 with kids ages 17 & 20 and we all ride bikes a bit in the summer but not regularly. The ebikes were very easy to figure out and we just switched the motor off when we first started the tour bc it's tricky to navigate through the crowds in the old part of Barcelona. We rode either on the sidewalk area or in the special bike lanes so my concerns about riding along next to cars/scooters was unfounded. The ebikes made it possible to go wherever we wanted without being hot or fatigued and the tour being private meant we could stop where we wanted, take a break for water when we wanted, have Olga's full attention, etc. We were able to see so much of Barcelona (old town, Montjuic, Olympic stadium area, beach) and Olga was always checking to make sure we were happy, following safety procedures (such as keeping our brakes on while descending Montjuic) and she was always full of interesting information. Def wear sunscreen and stop for some bottled water along the way. We did the 10 AM tour on a Friday and it was a great way to start our vacation in Barcelona! Thanks, Olga!!!

Our guide was really helpful. The electric bike was too fast for me to manage in the city with so many people on the streets and blind street corners. We went back to the store and switched to regular bikes. We really enjoyed the tour and was able to cover more of the city because we were on bikes. Barcelona had many bike lanes all ove the city. We highly recommend this tour.
