Make your own way to Port Olympic to start your small-group cruise of Barcelona and jump aboard your luxury yacht. Keep your camera to hand as you set sail and enjoy marvellous views of waterfront landmarks like the Venetian Towers and Frank Gehry’s unique Golden Fish sculpture.

Pass by the glamorous yachts of Port Olympic, then admire views of Barceloneta beach and the Barcelona skyline as you cruise out into the Mediterranean. Sip a complimentary beer or soft drink as your captain hoists the sails and turns off the engine, and revel in the tranquility of the ocean. If you’re interested, let your captain show you the ropes and take to the helm to experience the thrill of sailing in the high seas, or else relax on deck and take in the views as you drift along the coast.

If the weather is calm enough, drop the anchor and jump off to swim in the warm Mediterranean waters, and perhaps spot dolphins, sea turtles and sunfish swimming and playing around the ship.

After an unforgettable cruise, return to shore and end your tour back at Port Olympic.

First time really sailing on a boat for me, and easily one of the highlights of our trip to beautiful Barcelona. We did the sunset sail out of Port Olympic and operated by Azul Sailing. Robin was our skipper and was amazing. I think we lucked out because it was just the two of us on the boat with the skipper, my understanding is it could have been more. Robin let us take the wheel and actually gave us instructions and guidance. Don't just be a passenger, actually get hands on and so glad Robin encouraged us to give it a go. The sunset was amazing. The photos we took don't give it justice. Was a little difficult to find where to meet up at the port, and I thought we were supposed to be emailed more detailed instructions on where to meet, but it never came. A simple Google Map with a star on the spot would have been all that was needed. We actually ended up finding the spot in the SW corner of the Port by the entrance road, after walking all the way around. Would highly recommend to others.

Do give yourself plenty of time to arrive. We had a little trouble finding the boat slip in the harbour. It is way towards the back row. A little frazzled upon arriving since we were worried the boat would leave without us since we were barely on time. However, the rest of our experience was great. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we were the only people that had booked for that time of day so it was like we had a private tour. The captain and his mate were wonderful. Unfortunately, we only sailed for a short while using the sails since it was not a windy day. It was our first time on a sailboat and we were hoping to experience the feel of a true sail but of course this was dependent on the wind and not the fault of the tour. We switched to using the motor and that was fine too. My daughter got to swim a bit which she really enjoyed while I took in the gorgeous views of Barcelona. After the sail boat tour we found an amazing seafood restaurant in same harbor called La Barca del Salamanca where we had a fabulous dinner. The service and food was outstanding!

We were only two that day. Daniel was our guide. It was very informative. He recommended the restaurant La Fonda, right there by the port. They have great choices, and the food was amazing.
