The only way to see this masterpiece.

We debated on whether or not to purchase the tickets to the fast track tour since we saw you could visit much cheaper through other means. It was worth every penny. On top of getting past all of the lines (they are real!) you gain a greater understanding of the process and history of the Sagrada Familia. Plan to spend an extra 30 minutes or so after the tour walking around and taking everything in. If you want to go into one of the spires plan an extra 1.5 hours. The day we went the gift shop was closed and the museum, but still a great tour and event. Afterward, some of the best souvenir places in Barcelona are located just south of the site.

Our knowledge and appreciation of La Segrada Familia was brought to life by Sarah, our guide. I am glad I chose this tour for my family as navigating the crowds is a key issue. This Gaudi masterpiece is supremely astounding and our half day spent in and around the Basilica was time and money well spent. I would do it all over again if there were no crowds!

We were not happy with the experience. It was overpriced for what we got. I thought the experience was more focused on a small group for the cost and the group was quite large.

Ignacio was our guide and he was great. We learned a lot about the church and the various figures and sculptures throughout the church. We also learned about the different sides of the stain glass windows and about the pillars inside of the church.

Viator is confusing.

Viator information was confusing. We arrived to find we had to get actual tickets from local tour agent. The bar code I thought would gain entrance was useless. It was badly organised.

The guide was great...knowledgeable and worthwhile. La Sagrada Familia probably falls into the bucket, "must do in Barcelona, but definitely only once." It's a crazy patchwork of fascinating, bordering on bizarre architecture that only a devoted acolyte could love. Definitely go on a guided tour...at least the guide can help make sense. But, this is definitely a "different" experience and won't be nearly the "best thing" Barcelona has to offer. One note: the vendor in small print notes that some of these tours are "bilingual"....that means your guide will take twice as long in discussion and explanation in English and another language (Spanish in our case)--not a big deal, but it does slow the experience and can be confusing. If you don't want that, make sure you don't choose "bilingual"...definitely a read the fine print kind of thing!
