Overview

View dolphins in their natural environment with guides who respect these intelligent creatures’ boundaries. After feeding in deeper waters at night, spinner dolphins come close to the Kona shore where they often interact with boats, playing in their wake. The utmost respect and care are given to our aquatic friends to assure that we do not disrupt their rest, nursing and breeding behaviors. Depending on where and when we locate the dolphins there may also be time for a quick snorkel at one of the many beautiful reef areas along the Kona coast line, quite possibly Kealakekua Bay.

Bianca and Kai (hopefully I spelled that right) were awesome captains. They were very sociable. Kai was a wealth of knowledge about the island and the animal life. I was scared in the beginning but they set me at ease. My son loved the snorkeling. Kia gave wonderful tips and hints to encourage my son. Definitely worth the money.

We saw two different types of dolphins along with a bonus pair of humpback whales. Our guide Alan was very informative and even had a device on the boat that allowed us to listen to whale song from under the water. Fantastic experience. The snorkeling was also very nice. We stopped at multiple places. We all had a great time. Rich

Jen and Alan were super awesome. They made sure we got to see every possible thing on our trip. They found manta rays for us to see, dolphins (Bottle nose and Spinner) and even found a humpback breaching far away. The reef we snorkeled at was beautiful. Plus we got snacks, so all around amazing time

Wonderful trip all around!

The cook monument was cool, and we enjoyed all of the information about the history of the island. Sadly we had a strange day where no dolphins were visible at all. Not for lack of trying. The staff were great, although at first seemed a bit rushed. They very much redeemed themselves on the trip and even though we didn’t see any dolphins we had a really enjoyable experience.

Worst Company in Big Island
Igor_E
, Oct 2021
The tour is good, but the company is the worst administration ever. They won’t answer your call for 2 days. And the crew miscommunicate the informations. Our tour guide assured that we would get a refund because our flight changed so we couldn’t do a future tour. We had the opportunity to change the flight time but we didn’t because she assured us. After that they just ignore our emails and don’t care about the word of their team members. Worst customer service ever. If you can just choose another company to don’t have these problems

This was a great tour! We were able to swim with a pod of dolphins and then had time to snorkel too. Additionally, we saw eagle rays and a tiger shark. Captain Shelley was a great guide and gave us the history of the area too.

Very respectful of the dolphins
Jeremy_B
, Aug 2021
I really like Shelly our captain. He maintained the respect for the dolphins and kept us safe while swimming. Unfortunately there were a few other tour boats out there who where not. People chasing the dolphins around and swimming in the channel where boats come in and out. So our boat barely had anytime in the water with the dolphins. It’s a bummer that the people who broke the rules got the reward of the dolphins. We did have a fun boat ride to captain cook and had some beautiful reef snorkeling. He also taught us some history which we enjoyed. I wish everyone was ethical like this company. But I also wish we had more dolphin time/experience and less of everything else as it’s a dolphin tour.

Snorkeling better than dolphins
APRIL_S
, Aug 2021
The best snorkeling ever! Swimming with the dolphins was great too.. but don’t get the impression you’re going to get very close to them. The crew was saying ‘they were right next to your face’ and No, they weren’t! Not sure why they say that.. obviously I know how close they were. Swam with them coming into view and not for about 40-50 minutes.. then into great snorkeling. So many fish!
