A Wonderful Day!!

Good but not as described

If you’re hoping to spend most of the day riding around vineyards on the bike, then this is for you. A lot less engagement and a lot more casual riding than expected.
The lunch was NOT what was described or expected. Small jar with some shredded chicken and cut up vegetables. Good but definitely not a three course meal.
Our tour guide, Theo, was very nice and knowledgeable about wine and Saint Emilion. I wish we would have heard/learned more from him than spending hours riding our bikes around vineyards.
If you’re looking for a much less structured, 20KM day on a bike, this for you. Would not recommend if you’re looking for more wine info, history, photo opportunities, etc.

First of all, our host Quentin went above and beyond to ensure our group of 8 enjoyed the day. The tour really is nothing without your tour guide and he was so friendly and knowledgeable. The mix of cycling, chateau’s, tasting, lunch and time in the village was spot on. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough… without doubt the highlight of our 16 day trip.

Remy was a fantastic guide for our group of 10 (rather large). Easily maneuvered through the wineyeards, stopped to see amazing properties (Cheval Blanc, Petrus...). Had timely and relevant comments during stops and anecdotal quips made it quirky, insightful and fun. Remy knows his wines, loves this area and loves to share his insights. WOuold highly recommend.

What an amazing tour! Tour guide Hugo was amazing, very knowledgeable and passionate. The bikes are comfortable. St Emilion is stunning, very picturesque. The chateaux are fabulous and the wine divine. The luncheon was something really special, 4 courses matched with a variety of wines. Overall a perfect way to see some of the countryside and vineyards. Highly recommend.

We are in our 50s and booked this tour months in advance while planning our 2 day port visit to Bordeaux. The office was a very short walk from the port. We were paired with 3 other couples and transported to St Emillion by van, which was very comfortable. Our guide, Hugo, was very knowledgeable and fun. Upon arrival at the first chateau we mounted our bikes and off we went through the French countryside at a nice leisurely pace. We ran into some rain but were provided with ponchos and it did no impact our amazing day. We toured a couple wineries before our outstanding lunch. After our meal we headed into the village of St emillion and learned some history of the area and had some free time before jumping back on our bikes and resuming our winery tours. This was a fantastic and full day. It will likely be the highlight of our vacation. This tour was much more than expected and far exceeded our expectations. Thank you Hugo for these lifetime memories

Pleasant tour with good guide.

We were collected by minibus in Bordeaux. About 1 hour drive to beautiful St Emilion. Drive to chateau to collect bikes; 15 min ride to the town. Walking tour of ramparts, square and streets. Ride back to chateau for excellent outside lunch in garden with wine tasting. It started to rain so after a wine senses quiz we ditched bikes and went by mini bus to second chateau for wine making tour & more wine tasting. Back by mimi bus to Bordeaux for around 7pm.

We just had a great full-day cycle tour around St Emilion with our knowledgeable Aussie guide Hugo of the Bordovino company. Nice drive from Bordeaux, then cycling the country side, walking around St Emilion, followed by a great lunch and grand-cru classe wines at the chateau Cote de Baleau from Marie-France. After lunch another enjoyable cycle tour around the St Emilion and Pomerol region, passing legendary estates such as Petrus and Le Cheval blanc, and visiting another chateau for a tour and wine tastings and enjoying the multi-culti group we were in. Cycling was easy and on traditional bikes with plenty of gears, no battery needed. The weather was superb and this was the highlght of our three-day visit to the region. We were like a box of birds!
