Meet your group and guide in the central Brighton location specified at booking. Please be ready a little before your departure time.

Ride in an air-conditioned bus comfortably to the city. Once you get there, follow your guide on a walking tour around the city perimeter. Your guide tells you about the area’s history as you pass key sights, such as museums, churches, and the University of Cambridge. Cambridge is also home to some of the biggest companies in the world, as well as the research offices of Microsoft.

After your guided tour, you have ample time to yourself to go where you please within the city limits. From its market filled with shops to the graffiti left by airmen from WWII, there’s so much to see. Plan your time with help from a map that’s given to you by your guide. Some great choices for spending your free time are Parker’s Piece, the Cam Eagle, and The Eagle—one of the largest pubs in Cambridge where Watson and Crick announced they had discovered the structure for DNA in 1953.

When your free time is over and you meet your guide back at the spot they told you to, jump back into your cozy bus for a relaxing ride back to Brighton.

There are over 28 colleges that help make up the University of Cambridge. Many of the colleges are open to the public but perhaps the most interesting college to visit is Kings College. Kings College was founded in 1441 by King Henry VI shortly after completing Eton College near Windsor. The college, one of the largest in Cambridge, is dominated by its late gothic chapel, celebrated for its large fan vaulted ceiling and stained glass windows.

This is the university museum and was founded in 1816 by Viscount Fitzwilliam. He left his private collection to the university and also provided the funds to construct the building. Over the years the museum has been extended and is well known for its Egyptian galleries and it works of art by Rubens, Constable, Degas, Renoir, Raphael and Gainsborough amongst many others.
