Amazing Day. Great Guide.
, Feb 2020
Sebastian is a wonderful guide and the locations were amazing to see. My husband and I had 4 days in Bucharest and spent our last day on this day trip. We were collected from our hotel and dropped to the airport at the end. It is a lovely way to see another country. It was a comfortable, informative and fun trip. Sebastian is a great guy who went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our trip. I would recommend him to anyone.
A week’s worth in one day!

Great communication from sebastian setting things up. He even discounted my tour which I needed since it was my last week in Europe after a month stay. Alin was my guide. He had no trouble picking me up on time at my hotel. Alin’s car was clean and newer and had all the hook ups for phone/camera charging and wifi. He was professional, fun and a great guy who’s a seasoned-licensed tour operator. Alin knows Romanian history very well and I especially liked his funny story on how Romania became Romanized! Its funny, ask him about it! He also knew a lot about Romanian’s contributions to science - some of which they didn’t receive credit for...similar to Tesla. At the border entering Bulgaria he stood in line for me with my passport while I stayed in the car with the ac getting my camera ready for what would be an amazing trip. Bulgaria is a beautiful country and the towns we visited like Veliko Tarnovo attract many Bulgarian and Romanian tourists but It didn’t feel crowded, just vibrant yet relaxed which is the best. Alin’s pic for a restaurant was spot on! We walked along the great stone wall through the draw gate (wicked looking) on up to Castle Tsarevets. At the top is Church of the Blessed Saviour. The murals and lighting inside were sooo amazing! It was a huge surprise because I did no research before the trip - I just knew to book the trip or I’d be sorry and luckily I didn’t miss out on one of the most amazing works of art I’ve ever seen - and I’ve seen a few. Afterwards Alin and I just strolled the cobblestone streets talking about life, history and our own take on it. This was a mind expanding journey through an ancient and traditional part of the region which was once the seat of Bulgaria’s royalty and when you go, you’ll see why. The views from town of the Yantra river and surrounding cliffs and hillsides are amazing. We also went to Arbanasi which is a nice village not far from Veliko Tarnovo. Great place to unwind and stroll the streets and enjoy a break in the center park. There we cooled off with some refreshments and Alin showed me pictures of a tour he did for an Israeli family that lasted over a week! He was able to help them find their grandparent’s grave sites in a remote part of Romania. Seeing their joy and happiness in the photos was really cool. I liked everything about this trip. It was exciting, educational and soulful. Can’t fit Basarbovo in the review but a monastary in the cliffside! Turbulent times they musta been...
An amazing taste of northern Bulgaria
, Aug 2019
While in Bucharest we saw this tour and thought that it would be a chance to visit Bulgaria for the first time. This tour exceeded all expectations! Sebastian was an amazing guide, both knowledgeable and thoughtful. He created an itinerary that combined a Christian Orthodox cave monastery, a castle that was the former capital of Bulgaria, a delicious Bulgarian restaurant, and some interesting towns around Veliko Tarnovo. Highly recommended!
Excellent trip with extraordinary service

Great trip to beautiful Bulgaria, visiting the lovely Veliko Tarnovo, Arbanasi, Basarbovo, visiting an extraordinary Orthodox monastery carved into the mountain, the beautiful fortress and the city that was once the capital of Bulgaria and the "Albanian" village. Sebastian, very friendly and extremely competent guide, knowledgeable of the history and geography of Romania and Bulgaria. New vehicle, very comfortable and with the advantage of being only 4 passengers (my family) which allowed to ask questions and talk widely about the past, present and future of Romania and Bulgaria. We could make stops when needed, the price includes the tickets to the places. Best value for money, I highly recommend it.
