Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Meet your guide at the Charleston Maritime Center in downtown Charleston 30 minutes prior to departure, and check in at the blue and white ticket booth onsite. Learn the basics of onboard safety before heading out into the Charleston Harbor. This is not a narrated tour, but the captain and first mate will be available throughout the sail to answer questions and point out local landmarks.

Cruise under the iconic span of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge as navigate along the scenic harbor, and enjoy an mellow playlist of music. See the Battery, Fort Sumter, Fort Moultrie and Charleston’s scenic lighthouses from the water—with unobstructed views, this is the perfect time to snap photographs of the iconic landmarks.

Relax on deck for nature’s sunset show: the sun sets directly over the land, lighting up the clouds and waterfront. Soft drinks, beer and wine are available for purchase, and you’ll finish your harbor cruise back at the Maritime Center, close to some of downtowns best bars, restaurants and cafes.

My adult children (19, 21, & 22) liked how we were able to learn about the historical parts of the harbor. The Captain and shipmate were fun and super knowledgeable making the voyage extremely enjoyable. We had MANY dolphin sightings which was super cool, since on our Dolphin Cruise a few years back we only experienced viewing one dolphin at the very end. Even my husband and father in law, who never want to spend money (😂) loved it and told me I did a good job booking it!

Not great

You should explain the parking situation in details. Also it wasnt clear where boarding dock was. Also would’ve been nice to have more commentary on Cruise. Also too many people that didnt allow Social distancing.

Hi Windy. We are sorry that you did not enjoy the Sunset Cruise. By design, it is not a guided tour of the Charleston Harbor. It is meant for one to be able to relax, take in the sights and sounds and hopefully enjoy a beautiful sunset while on the water. However, our Captains and crew are more than happy to point out specific landmarks and answer any questions. The parking situation is explained in detail with an interactive map to guide you directly to our location on our website. We also have a phone with the number on your voucher in which our reservationists are always happy to assist. There is construction of the new International African Museum that is currently underway and multiple boats that leave from the Charleston Maritime Center which can cause confusion. We do have signage in the area to try and alleviate confusion but have found that some folks do not pay attention to it. However, we are in the process of having more signs made! Our boat is an open boat that can accommodate 49 passengers. The night of your trip we did not have full capacity. As more and more states open up, people will need to make decisions based on their own level of comfort as it pertains to COVID. We are an outside business and are following the appropriate guidelines. Again, we are disappointed that you did not enjoy your experience and hope that you enjoyed your stay in Charleston.
