Make your way to a centrally located meeting point, in time to meet up with your foodie guide and small group of 12 people or fewer.

Your first tasting is a classic Chicago deep-dish pizza, the source of many rivalries with New York. Learn what makes a Chicago deep-dish so special before heading over to another historic spot to taste the dipped Italian beef sandwich. Hear about the origins of this classic sandwich and its founding right here in Chicago.

Next up is a classic Chicago hot dog, topped with seven specific items, and never ketchup. Then, stop by a bar founded in 1898, which made it through Prohibition and Al Capone's bootlegging reign. See some examples of Chicago's famous public art, including a Picasso, a Miro, and a Chagall, before stopping for a salty-sweet mystery 'secret food' beloved by Chicagoans.

Stroll through Millennium Park to see the famous Cloud Gate sculpture.

Denise was such an excellent tour guide, she made this such a fun experience! It was part history and part food tour. Each location was interesting in either a historical or pop culture context as well as all the delicious food we sampled. I can not recommend this tour enough!

Jordan was fantastic. Kept the group on our toes and very engaged from start to finish! My one thing is that we have rather tried a hot dog (or other native food) than 2 desserts.

Denise our tour guide was wonderful!! She was knowledgeable, professional and funny. We saw so much of the city, ate the most amazing food and went to secret places we could have never found on our own. My college son had never been to Chicago and is a foodie so he was thrilled with this tour. We would highly recommended it to everyone. Ask for the Denise.. best tour guide ever!!

The food was great, the guide was great, the tour was great! This was my first food tour and I would definitely do one again! I liked that we saw sights and learned about the city in addition to food sampling. The guide was knowledgeable and the food samples were delicious. The secret restaurant was amazing!

We ate some good food, learned some interesting history, and a nice walk in Chicago on the Secret Food Tour. Our group of 4 joined 6 other nice folks and started at Gino's pizza - yum - from there - well I don't want to spoil the surprises so... Our guide Kylie could not have been more enthusiastic and everyone really enjoyed themselves - recommended!

We had 4 days in Chicago and booked this tour based on the reviews we read. Our guide was so nice and filled with information and history of the city. Not only did we sample a myriad of delicious delights but we also toured some historical Chicago sights. The maximum number of people on any tour is 12 but we only had 6 so it made for a more intimate and fun afternoon. This tour is highly recommended and should not.be missed. Book in advance as spaces go quickly! By the way, don’t eat breakfast because there is so much yummy food to try!

I hate giving this tour only 3 stars...

I hate giving this tour only 3 stars but here is why - 1 Viator lists this tour as ending at the Art Institute of Chicago. It does NOT. That was the main reason I signed my husband and I up for the tour since it said we could stay at the end of the tour. I had been looking forward to a nice wander in the Art Institute hall of armor! all week but nope tour doesn't go there and according to our tour guide hasn't gone there in over a year. Thanks for nothing Viator! 2 I had injured my knee the day before doing too many steps in Chicago and the last stop on the tour, and the one that I was really, really looking forward to involved climbing up more than 20 steps. Why the heck isn't that mentioned? So basically I didn't get the whole tour and I have to say I was not/am not happy about that. Aside from that Blair, our tour guide, was funny and informative. He took us to places in Chicago that I had never seen before and I've been going there for almost 20 years. Great job Blair! Awful job Viator.
