We took the tour describe as " small group tour" to Fatima Obidos and Nazare with pick up and drop off at the hotel we stay in Lisbon.
The driver pick us up at our hotel The Independente Suite & Terrace on time in a small van but after that he told us that the van has some engine problems we will have to switch to a more comfortable van and drop us at a location where a BIG TOUR BUS was waiting. It turn out that we were dumped to another tour company names : DIANATOURS. We were asking to pay for a extra lunch package which do not state in the Viator online brochure. Anyway it was too late for us to do anything but have to go along. The group may be more than 30 peoples with quite a few persons do not keep the time being assign per visiting segments so we all being late at least 1 hour before we getting to the final destination: Fatima. After the trip the bus drop people at few predetermine destinations and told them to take taxi or uber to their hotel. This is an FRAUDULENT company to deal with and I strongly ask VIATOR remove this company from your Tour site.

Good morning DCP53
As you say on your review, the driver that picked you up, told you that the van was with engine problems, and that you would go on the tour with a different company. The idea was not to cancel the tour at the last minute and making you lose one day in Lisbon.
If you didn't liked that, then you should have refused it immediately, and we would have refund you. But you didn't said anything... until now.
So if i understand well, your complaint is that you had to pay for lunch? Mr. DCP53, that is not extra! Lunch is not included on the tour! So you paid for your lunch in the restaurant like all the other clients! Please read the viator page tour more carefully next time.
You are also complaining that some other clients were late on the several stops... but you did see everything, with the normal visiting times, didn't you? so what is the problem. in all tours made every day around the world there is always somebody that get to the van late. It is normal. But please let me apologize for the 10 minutes late that they made you wait on the several stops before Fatima.
But im happy to know that you dont complain for missing some stops. That means that the guide was good, and that the tour was made in a very professional way. Just like i expected it to be.
This means that your complaint is that you had to pay for your lunch(please...!) and that some clients were late 5 to 10 minutes on the stops that you were making along the tour(...)
Regarding being a fraudulent company, this review, is making me realize that i care to much for my clients. I could have just cancel the tour on you at the last minute, but instead i took you to a company that charges prices 50% more expensive than mine, that have a guide that goes with you inside the monuments, something that we don't do, i gave you what t thought it was a upgrade... and i assumed the difference.
I did This is because i didn't wanted to cancel your tour and disappoint you at the last minute.
But i'm learning... And for that, i want to thank you for your review.
Next time i will just cancel the tour, leave you at your hotel, and in your eyes my Fraudulent company will have done the right thing!

Antonio (Go Tours) took care of me since no one else had made reservation for the trip I had booked initially with Viator. Antonio made the trip with incredible professionalism, kindness, patience and generosity, finishing way after due time. He was a great guide and I strongly recommend him. Joaquim from Viator took care of getting me to Antonio which I appreciated also.

We booked this tour to see the most we could in one day of the areas listed and wanted the small tour so we ask questions and learn as much as we could in a small group setting. It was listed as driver/guide. We did see a lot but we did not get a guide, it was a taxi ride. We all would have prepared very differently had we known we were giving our own tour. We requested a tour in English but the driver was very challenged in responding to our questions and even more so when we asked for history and other tour details. We did have wifi on the vehicle so we did make good use of google and wikipedia. With those resources, we were able to harvest some good information for the group however we were really hoping for more local history. Our driver was ill he told us and we understood he did not feel well but he should not have come to work. I had other friends that took this same tour and had a fabulous driver/guide so maybe it was just luck of the draw that day however make more inquires as to details on the guide aspect of the trip. Great, if you want to do all the tour research yourself and just have someone transport you. I would not recommend this trip.
