Highly recommend! Great staff, fun trek
, Mar 2020
Such a great trip! Definitely recommend. Sammi was very on top of things and made me feel like I was in good hands on the trek to the desert. I went on this part alone and was nervous at first, but quickly met up with the professional staff and great group of fellow travelers - it was a blast and went so smoothly! When my husband met up with me afterwards in Fes, we were even offered a fantastic walking tour by Sammi. Definitely do this if you get a chance! He's very knowledgeable and made sure we saw all of the top sights in our limited time there. Ottman was my driver to the desert - he also did a fabulous job and made sure the group had a great time! Overall, highly recommend.
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Do Yourself a Favor, Book with them now and thank me later!

Incredible! If you are checking out different tour operators do yourself a favor and book with this one! (Very Long and detailed Review) My review is based on a lot of research before we ever went to morocco and after officially booking and going on this tour with this company. The Guide: Wow just... wow! Where do i start! i could literally turn this into a blog instead of a review. I would give a 100 Star rating if I could. First of all the trip was amazing ( more on the trip later). We booked this small group tour but for a very nominal amount extra we were offered a private tour which ended up working out perfectly for us and was totally worth every cent because we got the most amazing guide we've ever had, Sammi. What a wonderful human! He was the kindest and most incredible person. Its hard to put into words just how absolutely AMAZING this man is. He went WAY ABOVE and BEYOND to make our trip the very best. We have traveled quite a bit around the world and have been on a variety of tours with all kinds of guides but there is no comparison when it came to our guide Sammi. He is absolutely THE BEST of the best. He was really good with our 10 year old son. So good that if we had let him, my son probably would have stayed with Sammi rather than say goodbye. When we did have to finally say goodbye our son cried and told us how much he will miss him. We also had the pleasure of meeting his Father, Hammid ( i dont know if this is spelled correctly, sorry) and he was also a very kind and fun person to talk to. We love and adore these people and came away feeling like we had made lifelong friends, our Moroccan family. I have invited both of them to come visit sometime and are welcome to our home in the states if either of them ever do visit! On the last day we also had the pleasure of meeting another tour guide that works with Sammi named Zack. Zack was friendly and spoke English very well. I feel like anyone who gets Zack as a guide will have a good time. The Trip/Tour: These people take care of you from start to finish. From the very start, even before leaving home for our trip ( Morocco was just one of a few countries were were vacationing to) the trip was very well organized. Ahmed, contacted me shortly after booking the reservation and answered any unanswered questions I had and explained everything. When we arrived in Morrocco Ahmed made everything simple and from there put us in the care of Sammi from the start by arranging a pick up from the airport. Sammi was there at the airport to greet us and take us to our hotel. The next day at 8AM sharp Sammi was at our hotel waiting for us to start the adventure over the Atlas mountains to Merzouga. Along the way we stopped to take a photo of the carved Barbary Lion in the small pretty city of Ifrane. Next, we stopped to see the Barbary Apes ( Monkeys) which was such a neat experience especially for my son. Then we stopped in a small Berber village for lunch and had our very first Tagine which ended up being the best Tagine of our entire trip. The drive is long, but the scenery along the way is gorgeous. It changes from the larger bustling city of Fez to Trees/ small forests to deep rocky inclines which reminded me of the Grand Canyon, then to an Oasis in the middle of the dessert full of Palm trees and so much greenery. Then when you get close to Merzouga you will see massive amounts of brightly colored Sand. So even though the drive is long and the temperatures vary greatly the terrain and scenery keep you looking forward to the next corner ( and there are plenty of corners for sure) We arrived in Merzouga around 5pm and met our Camel Guide and had tie for a restroom break. No time was wasted as we got on and started the trek we didnt want to miss the sunset. As the sun started to set the sand changed colors from bright Orange to red pinks and a little bit yellow too. Before we knew it were were out there, quite a ways out there too, surrounded entirely by huge the beautiful dunes and the occasional other trekker or Quads/ other people enjoying this exciting place. After about an hour we stopped atop a high Dune, got off the camels to watch the sun set and take some super gorgeous pictures. After the sun set we arrived at our camp. I feel like we may have gotten super lucky on this particular day or Sammi must have as he was able to secured us a spot with this particular camp/camel guides because it was much more than what I was expecting. I had read a little about the camps before coming to Morocco and know they can vary greatly. This one felt pretty close to a luxury camp. It was gorgeous and inviting with all the welcoming carpets and lanterns to light the way. There we were met by some very nice Berber people who offered us some of the Mint tea. Everyone was showed to the tents we would all be sleeping in and then had some free time to enjoy the surrounding dunes, talk to other travelers view the stars ( OMG the Stars!) ect. About an hour or so later it was dinner time. A three course meal including an appetizer, Tagine and desert. After dinner a fire was started and traditional Berber music was sung and everyone had a great time. We wondered off a little ways from camp to take pictures of the stars. Pictures here in this place whether it be of the dunes or stars or even on the journey just don't do it justice, you really have to be there in person to understand just how big and beautiful everything is. The Dunes and especially the stars are so awe inspiring. The stars were so abundant and shined so bright. The moon was almost gone that night so we could see just about everyone of the constellations. Anyway, we wondered off a little way from camp to take some pictures of the stars. I found that on my camera phone i had an option to take "long shot" photos that turned out more than incredible. They turned out Phenomenal! Some of them really look like i captured the milky way! ( Tip: make sure to bring a camera with this feature or earn how to use it on your camera phone before going.) After taking some photos of the stars We went back to the singing and dancing and ended our night with some good laughs and new friends from other tours that had found their way to the same camp with us in some form. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable with the such beautiful handmade wool blankets. They were so thick and heavy and gorgeous. I've actually thought about those blankets several times since we've left and wish i had asked if i could purchase one. Although they are so thick and heavy i bet it would have taken a full suitcase just for one haha. Plenty are provided and even though the night was very cold we stayed very warm in our tent. Our tent had a light, an electrical outlet a double sized bed and a twin bed for our son. The camp itself consisted of approximately twwo rows of 6 tents with a bathroom on each side. The bathrooms were quite lovely with flushing toilets and running water to wash your hands and even showers to wash off sand or whatever you may have needed to use them for. They were tastefully decorated and smelled wonderful with incense burning. The main dining tent was huge. It had a dinning room and a kitchen where they prepared our meals. We were treated so kindly and everything here at camp was great! The next day we woke up before sunrise and started our trek back. We stopped just before the Sun rose and took some more gorgeous pictures of the sunrise and dunes. They took us back to an Oasis of a hotel where we had tea, coffee, orange juice and breakfast and where you can take a shower. This place was also stunningly gorgeous with Orange trees growing in the courtyard and a large swimming pool with lots of clear blue water. A path through the center had trees growing on each side and led to a really pretty water fountain.. its hard to describe but ill just say the hotel and the staff were also very nice. Just another reason I knew Sammi had hooked us up with a really nice place for this part of the trip. ( on a side note if anyone doesn't know by now when you arrive in Merzouga this is where you change guides for the night and you will be in the hands of very knowledgeable Camel men/ Berbers. Then you meet up again with your guide ( Sammi in our case, around the time you are having breakfast). After Breakfast and a shower we started the long drive home. We stopped for a few photo and restroom breaks and for lunch. We talked about life, the history of Morocco, family and other things but i have to say we were very tired. Sammi once again went way above and beyond to make sure we had a great place to stay for the night among other things that ill just keep between us. When we arrived back in Fes we were able to meet his father who was such a sweetheart and an absolute pleasure to meet and talk to. I just love this family! The next day Sammi arranged to show us around Fes and the old Medina before we had to go to the airport. Sammi also arranged for our ride back to the airport and we had to say goodbye. I wish we had more time to spend in Morocco. The people are all so very kind and overall our experience was MORE than INCREDIBLE. I already plan to visit Morocco again as this was our first time visiting and we were only able to touch the surface of what a wonderful and exciting country Morocco truly is to see and experience. There is so much culture and history and just down right good people. When we do return we will definitely be looking for Sammi to guide us. I really cant put into words how grateful I am to have met this Exceptional man and so very very Happy we decided to book our tour(s) with this company. I highly suggest for anyone who is looking for a real authentic experience with kind, thoughtful, competent people to book with this company. They are less expensive and I will admit that less expensive usually means sub par so I was not expecting the excellent level of service we received. We always felt very safe and were very well taken care of throughout our entire time in Morocco. If you book this tour and want to make it a private tour with just your group and your own guide just ask whomever it is that contacts you after booking. They are very accommodating and are willing to help you with every detail of your stay. Please understand you're going to a different country that may be very different from yours. So expect things that are customary where you live to be different and embrace this unforgettable warm culture. Moroccans are known for their hospitality and everyone we met lived up to this. Sammi is a very special person and made a mark in our hearts. We will never forget him and hope that he takes our invitation to come visit us someday in the States if ever possible. Thanks for everything! Oh and don;t forget to save some $ to tip your guide(s)! Sammi definitely deserves a raise for his exceptional work! Sammi- Take care of yourself and your family! WE LOVE yOU! Last Words: Sorry this review is so very long. I just know i had a lot of questions and read some reviews when looking for a tour company for this tour before leaving home but wished there were more detailed reviews out there to go by. I actually wanted to make this review longer but I'm running out of time and its already been too long and I have things i have been dealing with since we have been home that has me with less time than I wished to have had to write this so I'm just going to post what i have without editing. I will end with saying that If you want an incredible experience at a good price then do yourself a favor and book with this company. They are caring, kind and honest. They will work with you and make sure you have the time of your life. You will experience great history, culture and meet some wonderful people along the way. And remember to be open minded and kind. Kindness gets kindness. Please don't go in expecting to be waited on hand and foot because you're on a paid tour. You have to make an effort too. I did see some people along the way that may not have had such a great experience with their guides/trip ( not from this company but others) that... just seemed to have a bad attitude in general therefore it seems like they set themselves up for not having a great time from probably the start, These particular tourists seemed not so nice or quite frankly rude. ( This is an exception as most tourists i met were very kind but i thought it important to bring this up since it was something i saw from a couple of tourists) If you're this kind of person then what do you expect in return? Love and kindness gets love and kindness! You wont have the best time if you have a bad attitude. Be respectful and you will get respect in return. Remember that! Keep it real and you will never forget your experience whether it be this Tour into the beautiful Sahara or a trip to Chefchaouen, or anywhere for that matter. Thank you to everyone from this tour company for making our trip so unforgettable and of course once again, Thank you to Sammi! You're the best of the Best of the BEST! We will never forget our time with you in this exciting once in a lifetime adventure! Lots of Love from your Friends/ Family in the USA!

We had a wonderful time during our 2 days and overnight stay in the Erg Chebbi dunes. Sami was our main contact and he ensured everything leading up to the trip went as clock work. On the day, though the car journey to the dunes was long, our driver Muhammad provided informative detail regarding the location and also regarding the regions Berber people. He also ensured we stayed away from any tourist trap locations, taking us to authentic value for money restaurants for lunch (we had our most tasty Tajine on this trip). The camel ride to the Berber camp was great fun and what an experience on the eye with the deep blue sky and rusty orange sand making for an array of amazing colours. The staff at the Berber camp were very friendly and accommodating and our tent was very comfortable. Overall we really loved our experience and rebooked with Sami’s team for a journey to the Blue City.
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience with the Perfect Guide
, Feb 2020
Our Sahara desert tour was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our tour guide, Sami, was so very kind, helpful, and informative. By the end of the tour, I had earned a friend. He was also a great driver and knew exactly where to stop to get the best food, views, and experiences. We had the option of either taking a big bus or riding in a private 4x4 with Sami. We decided to go with Sami and we were so glad we did! We rode through the (snowy) Atlas Mountains and Sami took us to a nice cafe where we had breakfast and coffee. We then walked around the area and took photos of the famed lion rock. We then headed further into the mountains, where Sami introduced us to the monkeys. We fed them, snapped some photos, and drove on through the snow. Hundreds of people were seen sledding, building snowmen, and riding beautiful Arabian horses. The entire drive was incredibly scenic. We passed through small mountain settlements, Berber villages, desert towns, and more. Once we arrived in the desert, just in time for a sunset camel ride, Sami helped us pack our belongings and took photos of us mounting the camels (which are hilarious :D). The trek through the desert was breathtaking--a kind of peace you can only experience in the desert or scuba diving in the ocean. The sunset was red and purple and the dunes seemed too beautiful to be real. After the scenic camel ride, we came to our camp, which consisted of 6 large tents, a main entertainment tent and outdoor areas with rugs, lamps, and seating, where we would later hang out and watch the stars. Our host was gracious and kind. They immediately served us hot mint tea after we got settled in. We then had a delicious, three-course meal. Our host and the rest of his team then played traditional African music. We each tried our turn at banging the conga and bongo drums as people sang, danced, and laughed. The rest of the trip was very relaxing and peaceful. While it was cold (as winter in the desert is), we had plenty of wool blankets. And we sat under the stars in the early morning hours after the clouds had blown over. We could see the entire milky way. The trip back was excellent as well. We rode back as the sun rose over the desert. Our camel driver then let us stop at the base of a massive dune, where we walked around, explored, and took photos of the sunrise and the epic vistas surrounding us. Sami offered to take us on 4x4's but we were tired from the trip and opted to instead stop at a few viewpoints on the way back. I would highly recommend the Fes to Fes Sahara Desert Tour. Sami was the perfect guide and the tour was excellent. We will never forget the experience.

The Desert was incredible. The stars are like nothing you’ve ever seen and not to mention the perfect golden Sand. Zade, our guide, was amazing he made sure we were comfortable especially since the desert gets very cold at night. Sammie Is the coordinator for the guide. He goes above and beyond to help. He even arranged a taxi for me to go to and from the airport. Amazing hospitality all around.

Amazin trip from Fes to Merzouga
, Dec 2019
We went for a 2 day tour from Fèz to Merzouga with 1 night in the Sahara desert. Our guide Sami was a very friendly man and a great driver. He speaks English and French which was a great plus. During the tour we did everything that was advertised and we stopped on many occasions to enjoy breathtaking views. The food and the accommodations at the desert luxury camp exceeded my expectations. It was the best experience we had in Morocco so far. I would really recommend this tour and this company to anyone who wants to discover the Sahara desert in a comfortable way.
