Half Day Tour In Fez Medina With (Private) Guide

We had a wonderful day with Adil and Zakaria. Initially they were very patient with us as we were waiting for PCR tests in our hotel which took much longer than we expected. We then had a tour of Fes, both outside and in the Medina. The food we stopped for was excellent and Adil’s knowledge of Fes is first rate. He is a pleasant and amenable guide who wants you to know what you want to know in addition to the information a guide is meant to impart. We enjoyed this tour and thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to see and experience all of Fes

This tour is very worthwhile as you get to see all the main attractions of Fez Medina, plus a lot more places that would be impossible to find without a guide. The guide was a gentleman and was very professional. No pressure at any stage to buy a carpet/leather bag or anything else. He spoke fluent English and was very knowledgeable about Fez. I met the guide at my hotel near the train station and he paid for the taxi to the medina both ways. A great way to see the medina as you can relax and enjoy the city without anyone bothering you. I appreciated the bowl of special Moroccan soup purchased by the guide. He also bought a homeless man nearby a bowl which was nice to see. A very pleasant afternoon and I really enjoyed the tour.

Our guide Adil was knowledgeable and well presented, and flexible in time. He covered most important sites outside and inside the Médina.

We have lived and traveled overseas for 30 years so have had MANY tours, but Adil tops them all. He provided a comfortable van for the 6 of us, was extremely accommodating of our mobility issues, flexible with timing, and showed us many parts of the medina not visited by many tourists. He gets my highest recommendation. You won't be disappointed if you see Fes with Adil.

Adil gaf ons een goede rondleiding doorheen het labyrint in de Medina. We hebben plaatsen gezien die we op ons eentje nooit zouden gevonden hebben. Hij gaf ons ook een stukje geschiedenis mee. Ik geef wel de tip om eerst zelf in de kleine winkeltjes in de Medina rond te kijken. Als de eerste kennismaking met de lokale producten tijdens de tour gaan zijn, dan ga je 10 keer zoveel betalen als in de winkeltjes. Tijdens de tour stop je in een leerlooierij en plaatsen waar men tapijten, olie en sjaals verkoopt. Je krijgt daar uitleg van de uitbaters en daarna bieden ze hun producten aan, letterlijk met prijzen die 10x hoger liggen. Dus, ga eerst even rond en zie wat er wordt aangeboden in de kleine winkeltjes en dan kan je nog beslissen wat je ermee doet.
