Not worth it and didn’t get 5 stops as promised

Our two guide was really nice. But we were promised five stops and we only went to three and there was a lot of wasted time sitting around making up for it and obviously wasn’t worth the money. We thought would be more history given as we walked. We had three Florentine steaks we were shared Disproportionally. One man at one steak by himself (wife ate very little) while my 3 boys and husband ate off another. I shared with another older couple. I think the tour guide should have recognized this. My husband and boys were still hungry afterwords and we stopped for porchetta sandwich’s on the way home. Why weren’t traditional sandwiches part of the tour. We go a personal Charcuterie board (nice) the first stop, crostini (small and weak) second stop and the next door was a out main dinner with steak… not a real tour of anything.

We always enjoy a food tour of a city. This one did not disappoint. Our guide was friendly and informative and shared so much more about Florence than just the food. Do this on your first evening because it will help you get a feel for where to go from there.

The whole tour! It was wonderful! There was a miscommunication about the specific meeting place on the actual day but was rescheduled for the next day. So we didn’t miss anything. To Coset, our guide, you owe me a cracker, LOL!

This was meant to be a group tour but circumstances made it one on one. Because of various snafus the start time had to be put back about 60 minutes. Ella, my guide, was remarkably OK with this. Tour was great she exposed me to a variety of Florentine cuisine.

We arrived early and waited in the exact location per our voucher for 45 minutes. No one ever showed up. I called the local # on my voucher and went to voicemail. Waited another 10 minutes and looked The Roman Guy Tours on google and found a US phone#. After holding for at least 5 minutes I was told they don’t know what happened and asked if they could call the guide and call me back. I waited some more and called back again. I was told the guide called in sick and no one knew and we wasted 1/2 the evening waiting for them. The rep apologized and offered us the same tour the next night but we were leaving in the morning. He offered to send us a bottle of wine to our next hotel but still too early to see if that happens. They promised me a full refund from Trip Advisor in a week. What a total disappointment- waited months for this.

Our guide, Cristiano, was excellent; a native of Florence and a history expert, he was the perfect guide to have for our walking food and wine tour around Florence. Very informative, especially in explaining how the Florentine foods got their start. No way we could have found some of these small family run establishments - the tour allows you to explore and see some locations on both sides of the Arno and experience a bit of Florentine history as well as taste some of the food and wines of the Chianti region. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning more about the food and wine culture of Florence - the walking between stops is a good way to burn off the food and wine ingested!

Tour was disappointing and not great value for money..Two of the five food stations were poor in our view.The guide provided little in the way of local colour about the areas in the city we were visiting.On the plus side the wine was plentiful even if of average quality mostly. We did a similar type of tour in Venice a few weeks earlier which was a much better experience on a variety of levels.

We had a small food and wine tour, there were only 5 of us in total which was great. It was a bit weird in that the first place we had 3 different crosstinis and tasty bite, but only one very small glass of wine, whilst the second place had two glasses of wine and only a tiny slither of cheese. I think they could have been more generous with the wine in the first venue and more generous with the food at the second. However the meal at the end of the night was great, delicious pasta followed by Florentine steak and plenty of wine.

We met at a central place and wandered through the city for the progressive dinner toward all the highlights in the central Old City. We sampled Foods, wines and appetizers at several different places. we were even given a goodie bag of cookies and pastries to take back to our hotel after a wonderful steak dinner. A special treat was a stop for gelato at the end of the tour

Absolutely loved this!!! Basically non-stop food and wine throughout while visiting so many places and the dinner at the end was fantastic. Our guide was local, informative, and funny! I don't want to ruin it for you by saying to much - just do it!!!!
