Great introduction to the island!

Nidia was a lovely guide. She was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel at ease straightaway. We had the choice of staying within Funchal or exploring the surrounding area. We chose to ride outside of Funchal but still had some time left to see some of Funchal from the Tukxi. The views were wonderful, we felt really close to the landscape. We got to smell and hear a lot more than if we'd been in a car or a bus. It was our first activity upon arriving in Madeira, and we recommend it as it is a good introduction to the island. Tiego is an amazing guide and really knows how to make a great day in Maderia even more special. He is incredibly knowledgeable about everything Maderia, and is so accommodating to your every needs. The tuxi can navigate the narrowest of streets that any other vehicle cannot, so we got to see and experience some amazing sights that others will surely miss. Coupled with Tiegos friendly relaxed demeanor, this was a PERFECT day and we hope to do it again soon!

John met us by the ship, was knowledgeable about the island and also about keeping us comfortable. He took us to Nice Harbour Village for coffee and souvenir shopping then up to the highest cliff in Europe with a viewing platform and a glass walkway. We passed lots of banana plantations and vines also some beautiful jacaranda trees with purple flowers. Would recommend this tour with John to anyone.

Joel our guide/driver was the best part of our tour. He was knowledgeable, super friendly and most of all just a good guy. It was fun to see the island in a open air Tuk Tuk and going slower than you would in a bus our car. Highly recommend this tour especially Joel!

A very enjoyable view of Funchal and it’s environs. Our guide Nidia was very knowledgeable and took us places that tour buses cannot go. We took in the Botanical gardens and then a coffee stop and stroll in Canada de Lobos, a fishermen village that was a favorite of Sir Winston Churchill. When the advertised view point was clouded over Nidia took us to others that provided great views. I recommend this as the standard since it is at least an hour to the Cascata dos Anjos. Finished the day with sightseeing and stops in Funchal. Highly recommended as you can see everything at an enjoyable pace from a Tuk Tuk

A fantastic must do on your list for the first day in beautiful Maderia. Our amazing guide Tiego arrived at our hotel and asked where we would like to go.... During the day the itinerary was changed to suit us and we had the most fantastic day out ever seeing lots of historical sites and stunning gardens... Tiego knew his history which was very interesting. Stopped for a delicious lunch in a small fishing village. Did not want the day to end. The Tukxi is a definate must to do on your list and I would suggest booking before you arrive. Now we have seen some of the sights we can plan to visit more that is on our list to do. Thank you Tiego for an unforgettable day with lots of happy memories for me and Tony.

A fantastic day out , our driver/ guide Tiego( James) was a superb host. His knowledge of Funchal and its history was unlimited, the drive through the narrowest streets all over the city was an experience only the tuk tuk can provide. Then a short hop along the coast to Camara de Lobos ended an exciting day out . Once again a big thank you to Tiago.

Wir hatten eine unterhaltsame Tour über die Insel, die sich an unseren Wünschen orientiert hat. Unser Fahrer/Guide Goncalo hat uns Madeira sehr nahe gebracht. Es war für jeden etwas dabei, ein wenig Geschichte, ein wenig Sightseeing, die tolle Natur, ein wenig Nervenkitzel (mit dem Tukxi über die Via Rapida) und natürlich Spaß. Unser Fazit: Eine vergnügliche Zeit mit einem sympathischen und weltoffenen Guide. Wirklich empfehlenswert. PS: Im Laufe unseres Urlaubs haben wir ein weiteres Paar getroffen, das ebenfalls eine Tour mit Goncalo gemacht und unsere Meinung geteilt hat.
