Gain a deeper understanding of Goa’s colonial history of Portuguese heritage on this private half-day tour. Learn how the Portuguese impacted the region’s religion, architecture, and food from your expert guide as you explore some of the most iconic places in Goa.

Meet your guide at your Goa hotel and travel in private, air-conditioned comfort to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Basilica of Born Jesus. Walk across the marble floor that’s inlaid with precious stones and visit the remains of Catholic missionary St Francis Xavier. Learn about this man’s life from your guide, as well as from the detailed paintings that decorate the interior. Head upstairs to a gallery of surrealist paintings from Dom Martin, a Goan painter.

Travel by foot to Se Cathedral, known by locals as Se Cathedral of Santa Catarina. This gothic-style Portuguese architecture houses one of the largest bells in Goa and is dedicated to a saint who was martyred in the 4th century for her Christian devotion.

Afterwards, travel to the city of Panaji. Wander the Latin Quarter, known as Fontainhas and experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Portuguese influence first hand as you explore the streets. Make a stop at St. Sebastian Chapel, where statues of historic figures like Abade Faria, a Roman Catholic monk, are displayed.

Next, travel in comfort to Dona Paula Jetty, a peaceful bay where epic views of Mormugao Harbor and the Arabian Sea make for the perfect photo op. Take in the natural wonder of the scene that’s unique to this out of the way treasure before heading to a tiny market on the waterway.

Finally, choose to stop at a local restaurant for a traditional Portuguese and Goan meal (own expense), before heading back to your hotel in the comfort of your private vehicle.

Dear Valliammai Palaniyappan, It is disappointing to learn that you were not happy with our services. Let me mention here that you had seen the complete itinerary in details which included visiting Se Cathedral, Basilica of Bom Jesus and Dona Paula Beach. And, you covered each of the mentioned attractions, which were a part of the tour. The duration of sightseeing includes travelling time to the point of interests and lunch as well. It was only after you completed the sightseeing that you asked the guide & driver to drop you off at the hotel for lunch, while they waited for 2 hours outside your hotel. We understand that you completed sightseeing very early. The time spent on these sites is much more, however, it is entirely up to the guests. We design a tour, keeping in mind the general interest of the guests as some tourists like to explore the attractions without any rush. After the sightseeing, you were dropped back at 1: 30 pm for lunch as per your wish, which brought an end to your tour. However, after 2 hours wait you came out of your hotel and wanted to visit Panjim bazaar, the Latin colony and Maruti temple followed by a drop off at another location. This was not even part of the tour, however, we agreed. Our guide & driver were at your disposal from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, which makes it even more than 6 hours, so how come you have mentioned that you completed the tour in only 2 hours. We are shocked to see such a negative review, even after agreeing to everything and going out of our way to make sure that you had a great tour.

Ok..so this is a good tour with the highlights being as described in the title. Se Cathedral and Basilica of Bom Jesus were amazing. The interior of the church is rustic and ornate with the casket of St Francis Xavier, you can actually see the remains of the Saint. Be sure to go outside and into the courtyard for some sights of people cooking and a shrine to St Mary. Dona Paula Beach was nice, mostly some shopping the highlight was a ride in a TukTuk.

Although polite, but not very professional to international standards. For its price I expected more. The guide wasn't always easy to understand and didn't understood us in all times. After some issues, there were some customization done with the Tour, but for the rest it was like a scripted tour, not a private tour that couldn't be reasonably modified. Not being sure who the first Portuguese Viceroy was a disappointment. The energy of the guide seem to have weakened a lot at the end, where I had to put efforts to get more information. We were almost forced to give feedback on the tour by the end on paper and through the phone! almost like being held hostages! :D. The least this company should do is to price it much less, in order to make it fair!
