If you are looking for something to do in Heraklion, our family would highly recommend the electric bike Ecobike tour in Historic Heraklion. Our group of 5 ranged from 15 to 70 years old and it was a highlight of our vacation. Alex was a wonderful tour guide. We rode on ancient walls, explored a local family park, visited the Cathedral of St. Minas and ended the tour having Greek tapas and wine from Alex’s family vineyards.
Fun and Amazing Tour of Heraklion

We travelled to Heraklion primarily to see the palace of Knossos. The night before our tour, however, we hoped to get a nice, mellow tour of the city. This eco-bike tour ended up being the highlight of our whole trip.
First, riding the eco-bikes were a ton of fun. Second, we really felt like we got to know the city through the tour. Last, we ended the night with a traditional Cretan dinner, and we really feel like we began to understand Cretan culture through conversation.
This tour was amazing, and we are so thrilled we booked it!

This tour was unique--biking around the city. Alex made stops at many of the historical buildings and areas of Heraklion so we got a feel of the city. We searched for faces carved into trees at Georgiadis Park & learned the story behind them (symbols of the people that protested the possible "bulldozing" of the park). We also saw 2 beautiful Greek Orthodox churches and the washing area of an old mosque. Finally we ended up at a taverna where we were treated to a variety of tasty treats and drinks--most, if not all from Alex's vineyards and gardens. Such a great way to see the city!

Excellent way to see and understand the history of the city. Alex is passionate and has a great love for Heraklion and is excited to share that with his guests. The bikes are easy to maneuver and it is fun to zip through the sidewalks and narrow streets. The tour ends with a taverna stop which is filled with snacks, raki, and a whole lot of laughs. A truly unique experience!

Un très bon moyen de découvrir Heraklion, avec le sympathique Alex et ses vélos électriques, qui nous fait visiter les quartiers historiques, parcs, rues commerçantes, et dégustation.
Le tout dans la bonne humeur, en prenant le temps, et en proposant même un jeu dans le parc.
Vous ne serez pas déçus !
