Ty was a great guide and the falls were perfectly flowing, so all the better. We had a great time and would recommend. Weather was perfect and can be a little busy, but glad to have used a guided tour the first time.

Aloha MSLL, Ty does not only do a great job in the field, as you say, but also works in the back ground keeping our Wailua Sacred Falls program working with other great guides and keeping our equipment in excellent condition. Thanks for your kind words. A hui hou, Micco

Had a wonderful time! Ty was amazing and so patient with us as first timers. The river was so beautiful and the waterfall was amazing. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Aloha Lori, A waiting person, is a patient person. We only go as fast as the slowest member and I always look at going slower as a way of absorbing in the beauty that much more. Thanks for letting us know that Tyler remains amazing, patient and safe. Thanks for sharing. A hui hou, Micco

Great day adventure

If you question if magic is real, this waterfall might just make you a believer. It was a really unique and mystical adventure only made more fascinating by our tour guide Jay. People of all ages were able to complete the trip. Would recommend water shoes, a swim suit and towel/change of clothes. A waterproof pack is provided to keep your things dry. A great amount of care is taken to ensure your enjoyment and safety are taken care of.

Jillian, Jay does sport a certain mystique. Seriously, glad you enjoyed the "great quiet" and that Jay was your bodhisattva across the Wailua River and to the Falls. Being outdoors can be an alternative to church going and a balsam for the soul. Thanks for reminding folks to come properly attired and especially with footwear. Stay well and thanks for taking the time to share. A hui hou, Micco

Best guide and tour !

Tyler was an amazing guide and great with our little kiddo on the trail. We attended the 7:30 am hike and it was the most wonderful experience we could have asked for! The trail was clear and uncrowned, the group was talkative, and the lunch provided was wonderful. All in all Kayak Kauai was the absolute best choice for this adventure !!! The waterfall was amazing and I would definitely do this again

Aloha Kali, We basically don't have guides that don't like kids. Most of our guides had one or two keikis and I know Tyler has a munchkin around a year + old. Thanks for your rave review and kind words. Enjoy the kid....they grow up much too fast. A hui hou, Micco

River Trip

Hiking to the falls through the rain forest. The only concern I have there were no bathrooms open when we returned to base camp. After a six hour trip this is not good.
icon Response from Host , May 2021
Aloha Douglas, Thanks for the "4 dots" rating in spite of the lack of confort stations along the way. Depending on whether #1 or #2 there are opportunities in alfresco. We do try to tell clients to avail themselves of the restroom by the office and where we launch from. Thanks for sharing. A hui hou, Micco

Simple but fun Kayak and hike

Kayak up the rivers and hike to the waterfall was lovely. We did the early morning tour which I recommend to avoid crowds. Simple and fun, wear a good amount of sunscreen and bring water shoes.
icon Response from Host , May 2021
Aloha David, Correct, mornings are more devoid of other paddling hikers, but ending the day in waning light can be quite striking. And yes...thanks for mentioning that folks bring some sort of water shoes, or beater tennis shoes. Thanks for the 5 dot rating. Keep paddling. A hui hou, Micco

The waterfall at the end of the hike was spectacular. Must do this trip so you can swim in a Hawaii waterfall. Dustin our guide was great, made our adventure even better :)
icon Response from Host , May 2021
Aloha Susanna, Swimming below a waterfall is alway a requirement when you visit Hawaii. Glad to know that Dustin was the "icing" on the cake and continues to make our tours safe, informative and fun. Stay well and thanks for taking the time to share your kind words. A hui hou, Micco

Best Day Ever!
Kelli_L
, May 2021
We enjoyed this trip so much, it was a fun group and our guide Jay was great. Friendly, helpful, pointing out interesting flora and giving us some of the history of this beautiful place. There are some tricky spots along the hike, which isn’t too strenuous but rocky & slippery in places. The falls are breathtaking and the kayaking was lovely. Such a fun adventure and inexpensive for what you get.

Aloha Kelli, Jay shines on all our tours, both the river and our Na Pali sea kayak tours. Thanks for pointing out that there can be some tricky spots on the way to the Falls. Your kind words are appreciated. Stay paddling and hiking. A hui hou, Micco
