Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Make your own way to central Krakow and begin your tour in front of Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum, where your guide is waiting for you. Before heading inside, hear a brief introduction about Oskar Schindler, the inspiration for Steven Spielberg’s award-winning film, 'Schindler’s List.'

Follow your guide into the museum, passing through rooms documenting the impact of World War II on Krakow. Travel back in time through photographs of cobbled streets, resistance hideaways, and prisons of the Nazi- and Soviet-occupied city. Listen in on original film and radio recordings for a sense of the overwhelming fear that gripped the country during that time.

As you continue to explore the interactive displays, learn the stories that took place inside the factory. Hear how Schindler's Jewish employees manufactured pots, pans, tins and other enamelware for the German army, and how this vital war effort protected them from transportation to the concentration camps. See some of the products made here, view Schindler’s office, and hear the fates of some of the 1,200 Schindlerjuden—Schindler’s Jews—who worked in the factory.

Your tour concludes outside of the museum, where you can continue exploring Krakow independently.
Stop At:
Muzeum Krakowa, oddzial Fabryka Emalia Oskara Schindlera
Choose your desired tour start time and travel independently to Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum in central Krakow. Meet your guide outside and hear how the museum is housed in the very factory where the Nazi industrialist Oskar Schindler employed Jewish workers during WWII. Before starting, get an illuminating introduction to Schindler, learning how Steven Spielberg brought his story to the world’s attention in his 1993 Oscar-winning movie, Schindler’s List. Then, head inside for your in-depth tour. Made up of interactive and photographic displays, the museum concentrates not only on Schindler’s and his employees’ work, but also on Krakow’s suffering during the run-up to war and beyond. As you explore, your guide will provide fascinating commentary, recounting poignant tales that will deepen your understanding of what happened here and Krakow’s history. Learn Schindler’s story and how his Jewish employees manufactured pots, pans, tins and other enamelware for the German army: a vital war effort that protected them from near-certain transportation to the concentration camps. See some of the products made here, view Schindler’s office, and hear the fates of some of the 1,200 Schindlerjuden — Schindler’s Jews — who worked in the factory. Follow your guide around the rooms dedicated to Krakow’s suffering during the war and later 20th century. View photographs of the terrorized city; be transported into the cobbled streets, resistance hideaways and prisons of the Nazi- and Soviet-occupied city; and get a sense of the overwhelming fear that gripped the population through original documents, artifacts, and film and radio recordings. After two hours of exploring, your tour ends outside the building. Say goodbye to your guide, who will provide you with directions back to the city center or your hotel as required.

This tour helps to bring alive and give meaning to what most people only know through the film Schindler’s List -
A very important "History of Krakow" tour.

Hi,   We had a very good experience at the Exihibition and the guide was very informative and so friendly. It was easy to see he was very passionate about his job and he explained events of the time very well and in detail.  I attended with my partner Catherine and another couple booked the same tour....we all discussed our tour and agreed it was conducted very well. It was so enjoyable....all discussing the events with the guide that, I, Catherine and the other couple John and Alison then went on to a bar/restaurant and spent the evening eating and drinking to conclude a really nice day.
Excellent historical Tour

The tour of the Factory isnt solely about Oskar Schindler but an exceptionally well laid out tour of the history of the occupation of Krakow, and how Schindler fitted into its history. Our guide was amazing. Very informative lady. We were a small group of 5 so it was very personal. The tour takes you from the initial occupation to the liberation, if that's the correct word to use, by the Red Army. Footage and pictures adorn the walls and one can relate to the location of the marching German army through Krakow Old Town Market Square, identifying land marks. The Schindler history is an emotional one with a beautiful memorial to all those he saved at the end of the tour. Once the tour is over, one and a half hrs, you can go back through looking at all the memorabilia in you own time at you own pace An exceptional tour. Highly recommend

Anna was a very interesting guide and her delivery was excellent. The only negative I would say is that with the background noise in some of the displays it was difficult to hear her clearly. That wasn’t her fault and is obviously not helped with all the current mask requirements.
interesting tour

I was not able to tour due to the lady at the door not allowing me to enter for my scheduled tour of 10:00am. I have asked for a refund and have not received any information back.

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. Please note that due to current situation with covid-19 the number of people inside building is limited. Unforutnately if you arrived after scheduled meeting time, it is very likely that the Schindler's museum staff locked the door. In case of any further questions, please contact us at

The factory is a must see. We arrived at Schindlers factory at 12.50 to meet our guide at 1.05 pm by 1.30pm he still hadn't arrived so had to ring Viator, We were then told he'd be there at 2 with no explanation. After the confusion our guide arrived, he was very knowledgeable not just about the factory but the history of ww2. I would definitely recommend

Our guide was excellent. She was very informative and gave an overview of the factory and condition of life of the Jewish population who were living in the ghetto at the time. Also the power in which the German authority had over these people. Her English was clear and she was able to convey the emotion appropriate to the story. We highly recommend that you use a guide to gain an in-depth understanding of Oskar Schindler,s Factory and the influences that participated in redirecting his vision to have empathy for the Jewish community. A visit not to be missed.
