Good tour guide, needed more time

Camel rides were the highlight of the day (at an additional cost), a lot of the time spent on the coach picking other customers up and queuing to get in the national park had 10 minutes at each of the drop offs, needed more time to appreciate the national park, or grab a coffee at the restaurant but barely had time for the toilet. However the tour guide was pretty good and had a lot of knowledge.

Rushed round the volcano experience, was back in the bud within 10-15 mins of arrival! No time to look around! Guide not interested. Wine tasting was much of the same, got to taste 1 wine! No tour, 5 mins to look around and then back on the bus

Travelled with husband and two kids. Last to be picked up on bus. Picked 15 mins late (after departure time we were quoted). Forced to sit at back of bus. No air con, no windows and no seat belt. Spoke to tour guide about air con, told it was on. Very uncomfortable and in enjoyable experience. Contacted Virator directly- no response.

We had a fabulous morning being taken around the incredible, atmospheric national park and experiencing the hot steams, crater of death and camel rides (very well looked after animals) our tour guide Michael and bus driver Martin were fabulous, professional and fun!

Nice short little trip around the Timanfaya NP. Well organised, Tony our tour guide was excellent and funny. Juan the driver and his skills on the lunar drive around the volcano was fab. Good choice if you wanna see volcano but don't wanna spend all day exploring.

The bus driver and the tour guide where great. Real funny and explained everything in detail. Personally didn’t like the camel ride as it felt cruel but other then that it was 10/10. We didn’t even receive the correct details for the pickup location near our hotel so we ended up missing the whole tour as it was after the 24hour return/cancellation policy we couldn’t even can’t get our money back. We still wanted to do the tour but if you miss the pick up you can’t try to change the day. We didn’t get any help or numbers to call. Absolutely useless.

Timanfaya park bus ride was phenomenal! The commentary brought to life the history and geography of the area. Wine tasting disappointing and rushed. Camel rides great fun and worth the extra €6. Guide (Paul) and driver (Oscar) excellent.

Not one for children

Would not recommend this tour with children. We were picked up at 8:40 and spent 1.5 hours going round the hotels picking up other passengers. Kids were over it before it had even started. Then drive to the volcanoes, more waiting waiting waiting, off the bus for 15 minutes, back on the bus to drive around the volcanoes, then quick stop for lunch at a cafe that only serves snacks and then another stop at winery and gift shop. It was all too much for children, such a shame. But the 15 minute camel ride - not included in the price of the tour - was a hit so not all bad!

Cheap cheerful basic tour

A good trip to give you a bit of an insight into the geographical history of the island. We didn't want to spend the whole day on a trip so this trip suited us, we were back at our hotel by 2pm. Our tour guide Peter was friendly and informative as was our bus driver Felix. While we didn't ride the camels, it was interesting to see them in action and read about their role in the countries past in the small museum located at this stop. We enjoyed the drive through the vineyard/crop growing region but feel the stop in the 'winery' here was a waste of time. More information or demonstrations as to how wine is produced would have been a lot more interesting, instead we queued to taste a shot of wine and walked back out again. The tour through the National Park was enjoyable and being able to pass the queue for cars (that would take 2 hours to get through according to our guide) to get to the center point was a massive bonus to being on a coach. The demonstrations here were short but interesting. A cheap, cheerful tour that does that job!

A good tour especially around the volcanic national park. But too many pick ups before we got started….it took an hour, and despite being a half day tour, I wasn’t back at my apartment until 3.00pm. Also, the so-called wine tasting was simply one small glass of either dry or sweet white wine, & no mention of methods etc & just in, taste, buy if you like it & off again. Our guide however was knowledgeable & spoke fluently in 4 languages!

To be truthfully honest it was all set up for tourist with the camel ride and winery. You get what you pay for on this tour. The coach was full so don’t expect social distancing. I thought there would be reduced numbers due to covid. The best thing about the tour was the drive around the volcanos.
