Cruise along the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest bridge in Europe spanning 11 miles (17 km) over the Tagus River. Hear how it was developed for the 1998 Lisbon Universal Exposition on your way to visit stunning Pamela Castle. From the castle, savor a wine tasting of four delectable wines at a local winery.

Then, stop for a fresh seafood lunch (own expense) in the charming fishing town of Sesimbra. Spend more free time strolling along lively streets or continue for a walk along golden beaches.

Alongside your guide, explore one of Portugal’s oldest wineries, Casa Museu Jose Maria da Fonseca. After learning about wine production you’re ready for a wine tasting. Enjoy two regional wines with delicious tastes and aromatic bodies as you relax on the property.

Bust out your camera one more time as you stopover at Cristo Rei Sanctuary, a shrine dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ which was inaugurated in 1959. Then, capture a panoramic view of Lisbon from afar. Finally, hop aboard your minivan and return to central Lisbon where your tour ends.

Great way to spend the day

I got to see areas outside of Lisbon that I would not have seen otherwise. I really enjoyed the second winery because we had a tour and the type of aging process was something I had never heard of. The stop for lunch also allowed us to explore a beautiful beach.

Nice day out the first stop at the vineyard it would of been nice to see some of the production process instead we just stood outside and got some small measures of wine to taste.Sesimbra is a lovely town with alot of nice little places to eat and the beach is nice. The next wine producer was a nice stop a lady in there gave us a nice tour we saw the cellars and learnt a little which was great. One of the groups got 6 wines to taste we go 2 it would of been nice to have a choice to pay extra or upgrade to taste these wines too.The wines I tasted were not to my liking apart from one of the whites and in the last place I tasted wines very similar to the first place I wasnt into.More variety would of been great. The view of Lisbon from the south side of the Tagus was amazing near the end of the trip I got great photos.

Wow! Fabulous day out of Lisbon! Andrew (Andre) was the best tour guide. He gave great recommendations for lunch and then places to eat and what to see is Lisbon for the rest of our trip. The wine tastings were very different but both very good and informative. The views in Arrábida and Sesimbra were wonderful and we had a nice lunch of wonderful seafood where he recommended. It was a treat to stop off and see the bridge and the Cristo Rey monument up close. Andrew took photos for us and was just a wonderful tour guide. I learned so much about Portugal and its people you would never get from a book. I’m so happy I booked this tour and had Andrew as a guide. It is like having a friend now in Portugal. Highly highly recommend taking this tour!

The tour guide was very nice and informative. He did a great job with the first wine tour. He provided us with details about our stops and let us look around on our own. We would recommend! (Lunch place was very tasty, but also on the expensive side)
