Highlights in a Day: Vintgar Gorge, Bled, Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle

We were picked up at the bus stop near our apartment on time. The van was comfort enough. Our driver was Alenka. She was really a good driver and tour guide. She explained everything we need to know and arranged the time perfectly. So we didn't need to rush at every spots, including enough lunch time to taste the traditional food.

We were the last group to be picked up. Then we start our trip to Vintgar Gorge. Alenka said we should to arrive early to avoid crowd. And it was true. When we come there were only a few people. We took a walk along the gorge for half an hour. The view was very amazing. When we walk back there were more visitor. Good decision to put Vintgar Gas as the first destination.

Then we continued to Bled. We visited the church at Bled Island by using boat which including in the package. We have enough time as well to take some pictures at the lake's edge including at the photo spot with heart shaped. Alenka also suggested us some restaurants and we chose a restaurant which sale local food. The meeting point was also easy to find.

After lunch we went to Predjama Castle. The castle was amazing and need long enough time to explore all spots inside the castle. There were some steepy access and stairs as well so we should to use comfort shoes. Our last destination was Postojna Cave. And again it was a good arrangement because the cave was less crowded and we were the last group entering the cave that day. We finish the trip and asked Alenka to drop us near Dragon Bridge to explore another great spot in Ljubljana in the evening.

This was a great way to see a lot of the highlights in Slovenia in just one day! The tour was great, our guide was a lot of fun and I never felt rushed, we had plenty of time to see all of the places we went to! We did not have long to spend in Slovenia, and this trip fit our needs perfectly. The Gorge was beautiful and did not disappoint. Bled, Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle were also great sites to visit. Tara was our guide and was fantastic! So friendly, full of information and kept us on schedule so that we could fit everything ok - can't say enough about how great she was. Highly recommend this tour and Tara!

The itinerary was well paced and informative without feeling as if we were in a classroom. Tara, the guide/driver was enthusiastic and altered things to suit her passengers needs. What a fantastic day, and best of all we were not subjected to the mandatory stop at a friends cafe, jewellery shop, or craft centre where we felt pressed to buy something we didn’t want.

I had a excellent day on this tour. Be prepared for some hiking, climbing of stairs and lots of walking, most likely in the range of 8-10 km for the whole day. Boat ride was very nice. Good choice of place for eating lunch

Fitting all four of these wonderful Slovenian attractions into one day is *amazing*. Most other tours skip Vintgar in the interests of time. Be prepared to give up some time you might otherwise spend on a long lazy lunch but it is well worth it. We had a few challenges on the day but Tara met them all head on ;)
