Your tour begins with pickup from your central Funchal hotel in time for a 9am departure. Traveling aboard a comfortable bus or coach, set out along the island’s south coast to the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Take in the views from the Pico da Torre viewpoint and enjoy a glimpse of everyday life in the village, before continuing through the surrounding vineyards.

Pause to admire the spectacular views from Cabo Girão, the highest cape in Europe at an altitude of 1,900 feet (580 meters), before arriving in the lively village of Ribeira Brava. Stroll around the village and admire the beautiful church of São Bento, then head north across the dramatic Paul da Serra plateau.

Follow a scenic route around the northwest coast, driving through the Ribeira da Janela valley, then arrive in Porto Moniz in time for lunch (own expense). After tucking into some traditional Madeiran cuisine, cool off with a dip at a natural pool, before heading to Seixal, where the Véu da Noiva viewpoint offers impressive views over the surrounding cliffs and waterfalls.

Loop back towards Funchal, stopping to take photos from the mountaintop Encumeada viewpoint, then drive through the UNESCO-listed landscapes of the Laurissilva forest.

Back in Funchal, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 5pm.

Beautiful scenery and lots of places to stop and photograph. Mini bus was a bit uncomfotable and would have prefered an English only guide, but all in all a lovely day.

An ok tour - more info from the guide needed

The sightseeing was nice, except if the weather is not good (at Cabo Girao we weren't able to see much because it was cloudy). It's an ok tour if you want to explore the West side in a day and you don't have a car, but the driver was also the guide so we didn't get much information between the stops. All in all it was a good value for money tour but maybe with a more expensive tour you get more information.

Boring tour with a lot of driving around
Rahel_B
, Aug 2021
Tour was pretty boring compared with other tours we did in madeira. Guide was not motivated and just drove us around from one viewpoint to another. I would recommend madeira safari tours, they really are the best and you won't be bores!

Great sights but wouldn’t call this a guided tour
Naomi_F

The sights we saw on the tour were great however it was really more of a transportation service than a tour. The guide tried to give some interesting facts and info as he drove but had to repeat everything in both English and Portuguese which wasn’t efficient nor enjoyable for anyone! I would strongly suggest the company sticks to a single language tour in the future.
