great hike! the tour guide was super knowledgeable and gave thoughtful insight into the area that I wouldn't have had otherwise, would do this again, and take friends and family.

Very nice and we'll put together guided tour, from the bus drive there to the walk itself! Overall great experience and beautiful scenery which I would definitely recommend if you're near malaga!

The views were amazing. It was a long hot hike, but well worth it. Our tour guide was lively and fun. The beginning was off to a slow start, and there were more people then I would have preferred, but they took us in groups and once we were on our way it wasn’t crowded at all. We enjoyed the day and would recommend this to a friend.

Waiting in a queue for a half hour to start the hike on an absolutely packed route. Bring more water than you think you’ll need.

A Memorable Experience

I was amazed by this experience. I have a bit of a fear of heights and it was great to be able to challenge it. On our way to Caminto Del Rey, we stopped in Ardales and had fun talking with local people and having authentic Queso de Cabra. Both of our guides were great, Rosi from the pick up to Caminto Del Rey and Marsello through the Caminto Del Rey. I love history and enjoyed being able to learn about how it was made and the bravery of the people who created it.

We visited a beautiful white village before reaching Caminito. There were time for us to explore and we were given complimentary sweet wine and chips. The hike was 7km but the view was breathtaking. Definitely worth the trip. It’s much easier joining a tour as this place is not so accessible by public transport.

Stunning walk

Overall worth the experience. Set off 15 minutes late from departure destination. The 2 hour stop in a nearby village (~15 minutes away from location) was rather excessive and without this, the trip could easily be done in half a day. Very knowledgeable walk lead.

It took the whole day

The tour during the walley was amazing, but totally it takes toooo long time! Two hours stop during the trip that was not announsed. And it was too much waiting before and after the trip, and of course two missing tourists when we finally reached the bus….

Average tour to a spectacular place.

It was a hassle free pick up and drop off from Malaga city centre. The tour guide was knowledgeable and spoke 3 languages on our particular tour. The information that was provided was not particularly clear and we felt that there were stops which were not necessary. There was a stop to have a buffet breakfast which was not advertised as part of the tour and which no body had, so was a bit of a time waster. Would have been nicer to have spent that time exploring the 2nd town we visited. The actual Caminito Del Rey experience was absolutely fantastic and we highly recommend it. Ensure you have good walking shoes and water. It is a long walk but relatively flat but I wouldn’t attempt it if you have balance issues or poor mobility.

What an amazing experience. Breath taking views. Not one for the fainted hearted. Crossing the bridge and the steep staircase was challenging but glad I pushed myself to do the walk. Be prepared to walk continuously for 2 / 2.5hrs at a leisurely pace. All round a really great trip.

A gorgeous gorge

We really enjoyed the experience. The drive and walk to the start point was a beautiful opening to the trip. The safety briefing was fairly straightforward and then we were off. The group leader allowed us to move at our own pace to experience the gorge and its beauty. Plenty of spots along the way to stop and eat/sit. A gorgeous location and everyone was super friendly.

Great tour and guide! What an experience! The bus ride back to Malaga was a little longer than expected (was not made aware in advance) and a toilet break would have been helpful. But overall, definitely recommend!

Would not go on this tour!
cianfagna
, Mar 2022
The Caminito was excellent but the guide was non existent. She did the bare minimum. The drive back took 3 hours! The add had listed a direct coach from Malaga. No one told us that it would take 3 hours to get back to Malaga and 2 in our group had to use a bathroom badly! I would NOT recommend this tour.

Dear cianfagna, I regret you were not entirely satisfied with our Caminito del Rey tour, Please note the activity description indicates multiple pick ups and drop offs for this tour, departing from Málaga City the trip to Caminito is direct but returning there are more drop offs before arriving in Málaga. Best regards,

Great walk!

Caminito del Rey is a "must-see" if you are in the area but be prepared for a walk of about five miles. I am approaching 70 but had no trouble doing it. If the weather was hot and humid, it would have been unpleasant but it was a beautiful, low-humidity day and not too hot. Of course, there's lots of shade along the trail too. The tour guide was friendly but didn't explain much.
