Brillant guide - an ex Hoistory & Geography teacher who was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and thought provoking. His enthusiasm and description of the Carvaggio paintings in the co-Catherdral of St John are worth to tour in themselves !

Excellent from the outset. Clear & Informative. Great guide but sadly forgot his name. Although 3 hours, it went very quickly with a 25 min break in pleasant gardens with cafe & loo. Many thanks

Very informative and entertaining tour

Our guide was terrific! She used very entertaining stories to explain the history of Valletta. Voice amplification would have improved the experience, for at times she could not be heard over the nearby street noises.

Valetta full experience walking tour

Seeing all of Valletta's history, including iconic landmarks, the creeks, buildings and gardens. Excellent tour guide Mario provided a wealth of information and was very knowledgable about Valetta. Best was this was a group of 15 so very personal and able to hear and be close as information was being provided. Read about previous rushed tours but this was a packed full 3 hours of information sharing very enjoyable and thoroughly recommended

This is definitely worth doing. You’ll learn a lot about the history of Valetta and it’ll help you understand so much more about what you are seeing as you walk around the city. It’s a brilliant introduction to Malta and our guide was really knowledgeable. Once you’ve done this tour, you can then go back to places like The Saint John Co Cathedral with a much better foundation of knowledge about Valetta and everything will be much clearer in your mind than if you were to just wander around Valetta admiring the views and the amazing architecture.

Great Tour of the City of Valletta
Bonnie_C
, Jul 2021
This was a great jump start tour covering not only information on the city of Valletta, but the history of Malta and the Knights of St. John. Although it was quite warm (hot), the tour was at a good pace; Valletta can be easily toured by foot. Mathieu was a fountain of knowledge and presented the information in an engaging and interesting manner. We saw a a good amount of the city without entering any of the buildings so we did follow the tour with our own interior visit of St. John's Co-Cathedral. We did have a chance to get a bite to eat from a cafe in the Upper Barrakka Gardens (beautiful views) where there were also toilets There were public toilets at the end of the tour at the Lower Barrakka Gardens also. Certainly worth the price of the ticket.
