After being picked up by your guide, you’ll head to the tropical forest of the Iao Valley. Admire the scenery as you hear the historical background of Iao, the daughter of Maui, as well as King Kamehameha’s unification of the Hawaiian Islands in 1790. Take a leisurely hike past the Iao Needle, a 2,250- foot (685-meters) lava remnant now covered in green vegetation, and the Iao Stream.
Continue to the Maui Tropical Plantation, where you’ll view a demonstration of coconuts being husked. Hear about the islands’ most popular flower and food crops, including mango, taro, papaya, guava, coffee and macadamia nuts, and sample some mouth-watering fruits.
At the end of your tour, you will be returned to your original departure point.
