Great views!

Glen was a great driver. He made us all feel safe on those narrow, bendy, twisty roads. Loved the waterfalls and ocean views! Lunch not the greatest.

Driving miss Daisy on the Road to Hana

I loved swimming in the waterfall, hiking around at the black sand beach and the little bit of shopping at the small local roadside vendors. I wish the winery would have been a stop. Would have preferred buying lunch at the food trucks. Also felt like Starbucks stop was a waste of time. We were all disappointed we didn’t stop at the seven pools to discover and take pictures. Glen our tour guide was amazing. Great stories and really knew the area well. Definitely worth not attempting to drive those narrow windy roads on your own. A must do is seeing the road to Hana!

Aloha. Thank you so much for choosing to ride the Road to Hana with us. We are glad you got to enjoy various aspects of this sightseeing tour. We would like to address a few of your concerns. The Maui winery is no longer a stop, as the winery has become a reservation only location since the pandemic. In order to attend these tastings etc, you would have to make your own reservation and travel arrangements. In addition the Maui Winery no longer caters to tour companies. In regards to the National Park (seven pools) only the large tour companies who can afford to pay the Entry and Contract Fees per day are allowed to enter. The fees are hefty and the time needed to explore the area would add an additional 3-4 hours to the full day trip. It is recommended that one takes the drive out and spends the day there. Lastly, the Starbucks area is needed for ones to get light refreshments, to stretch out and relax and most importantly to use the restroom. As you know restrooms are hard to come by and often over used. All in all we are glad you made the journey with us and we appreciate your honest review. We will continue to press forward and provide our guest with the best experience possible.

Best Day Trip Out In Maui!

This was a hair-raising twisty turning exotic ride through the beautiful scenery of the West coast through the rainforest & around cliffs to the windy slopes of the Haleakala volcano high above the ocean. Amazing view & stops along the way to a bakery for banana bread, lunch at a black sand beach & a local Jewelry & craft maker near Hana. Also a stop at Charles Lindbergh’s ocean view grave & a wonderful informative commentary by our local driver.

Amazing Experience

Nancy was an excellent guide. Full of personality and made the day fun. She kept referring to us as her family which I adored. She also knew a ton about Hana and Hawaiian history. Really enjoyed the drive and all the scenery. Definitely glad we booked the tour vs. driving the road ourselves.

Good times on the Road to Hana

We had a great time with Charleston on our Hana tour. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and had great stories! Communication was easy and we really enjoyed all the stops! It was nice to sit back and enjoy the views instead of having to drive ourselves honestly. This was one of the highlights of our family’s trip! I would definitely recommend.

Great tour, crowded bus.

Glen was a great knowledgeable driver. Road to Hana was great, our bus was pretty packed with 13 people + Glen, thought it wouldn’t have been that full due to COVID. Wish there were more stops on the journey, basically the highlights were the waterfall and black sand beach. Could have gone without stopping at the fruit stand, was 50 minutes long, would rather have gone to another waterfall or beach. People did get motion sickness in our tour, so be prepared if you come.

Nancy was an amazing tour guide and great driver and we had a great experience! She was an expert on all things Hana (and Beyond) and really made sure we experienced the best that the road had to offer. I'd recommend this tour to anyone and everyone who wants a comprehensive tour and really wants to get the most out of their hours on the road.

One full day to see a lot of Maui
Leslie_M

If you're like us, and plan to spend a lot of your trip by the pool or at the beach, this is a great tour to plan in the middle so you can see quite a bit of Maui. I was definitely happy to have a knowledgeable guide to talk about the sights, and to have a pro doing the driving on the back half of the loop! It was not clear when we made the booking, but we were also pleasantly surprised to find that the tour leader was able to pick us up at hour hotel in Ka'anipali, because we had been thinking we would have to cab it to the departure point, which was a ways away. I would recommend doing this tour than trying to rent a car and drive the loop yourself.
