Value for money but don`t expect too much

The airboat ride was fine , we did see some wild animals.Although you are not likely to see that many because of the noise of all the air boats in the procession. The Captain did do his best to give us a good experience and all in all the trip and the airboat ride were good value for money.I did not like the alligator show because it was just exploitation of the captive alligators.

Very disappointed
Antoine_D
, Mar 2022
Everything was correct at first sight, very organized however at the arrival at the everglades the tourist guide simply disappeared and did not leave us any information, we simply based our visit by following people who were in the same bus as us. At the end of the airboat tour, we went to the souvenir store and were told that the bus had left without us, that we had been called but we never heard our name. I tried to contact the customer service of Gray Line Miami who wanted absolutely nothing to know, the man I had showed no understanding leaving the impression that only money interests them. They did not even want to reimburse the return trip to Miami even though we were not on it.

Airboat

Original pickup time on ticket stated 9am. Voicemail the day before stated pickup would be 9:30. At 9:40 driver called to say pickup would be 9:50. Actual pickup 10am. Airboat was fun. Saw 3 gators. Airboat is covered and holds a lot of people. Gator show was ok but not a fan of living creatures in demonstrations. Bus driver (Leo)said departure time was 2pm. Everyone was waiting for the bus in the hot sun. He showed up at 2:10. He apologized saying he took a nap.

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR
Sean_B
, Mar 2022
First off we saw 0 alligators during the entire boat tour, which is what we paid for. Then on the way back, we got into an unpleasant surprise on the first stop. Our hotel was one of the latest stops, the most far off where we currently where. This also resulted in a 3 hour bus ride each way. There were 7 free seats in the bus, and they wanted to let 15 others in from another trip. Since there were'nt enough seats for them, they figured they'd announce through the speakers that 7 people (including us) from the last hotels would have to get off the bus. They then kicked us off the bus, and told us to wait an hour for another bus to show up. The company oversold the tickets which meant there was not enough room in the bus for everyone that had tickets. The driver was nice and looking for solutions, but the company behind this is just horrible. Not a single apology, form of compensation or anything. They acted as is being kicked off a bus and waiting an extra hour in the heat is just normal business. DO NOT BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE

Grandkids liked getting close!
Fred_S
, Mar 2022
The alligator show after the tour was a highlight for our grandkids. We only saw two alligators during the airboat tour but getting close to large alligators during the show helped makeup for that. These very large boats are ok but I would look for a smaller boat next time.

Not the best tour
Deborah_K
, Mar 2022
We ended up at a different adventure park then specified on the tour. It was a bit run down and no walking tour. Airboat was good but only saw 1 alligator. If you have a car, driving yourself would reduce amount of time picking up others (which was half of tour time).

Horrendous experience,...

Horrendous experience, spent over five hours on a bus to get to a very mediocre park. I really regret that I wasted a day of my vacation on this.

Fun but brief
Adrian_K
, Feb 2022
Fun experience with knowledgeable guide. Brief sight of only 1 alligator but lots more to see. Limited time on site - just enough for the ride, alligator show & 15 mins to eat/drink. No time for walking around the site. Excursion recommended but more time needed on site.

Very good trip, driver was really helpful, and trip inside Everglades was awsome! We were divided into two groups to ride open air boat! You can ride 50mph, see aligators, iguanas and many more beautiful species!

Misleading advertisement pictures
Catarina_P

The tour was ok, but the picture in the advertisement is misleading. I thought it was going to be an open boat with 5 or 6 people and it was a closed one with over 40 passengers!

Two Trips
KathrynA_C
, Dec 2021
We scheduled 2 trips. One an adventure that said "hanging mangrove trees, etc." We saw an alligator in the wild and had Captain Bob as our driver. He was fantastic! The second tour said it was a "safari". Turned out to be the very same trip. Disappointed in that.

Would not do it again
Ulrike_S

Wasn't too happy with this experience. Bus was crowded, no one was wearing masks (not even the tour manager), not very well organized at the Everglades Holiday Park, didn't like the Gator-show, airboats are louder and more harmful to nature than expected.

Awful experience
Pauline_A
, Nov 2021
The tour was supposed to include a “jungle walking trail” which was actually an alligator show in which 5 alligators locked in a very small space are forced to do stupid, unnatural exercises while a presenter makes questionable jokes. These animals would clearly be better off into their natural space. Moreover, we spent more time in the bus than discovering this part of the Everglades, which is not even in the real Everglades park. The airboat tour was short (but this was mentioned) and you really don’t see much. Bottom line, don’t trust the presentation of the tour on the website, it’s false advertising.

Horrible experience, major covid hazard
Kelly_G
, Nov 2021
We did NOT have a good experience on this trip. When you register for the trip, they ask if you are vaccinated, which is completely on the “honor system,” so there is no way to verify that people are actually vaccinated. There were 50+ people crammed onto the bus to the park and not a single person was wearing a mask, despite the fact that there was a sign on the bus saying “masks required.” On the bus, the driver made us sign a waiver saying that the park and bus service was not responsible for anyone contracting covid-19, even though the bus driver was not enforcing the mask rule and NO ONE was wearing a mask besides us. On the airboat ride, the tour guide stopped the tour early so that he could spend the last 5 minutes talking about why he needed tips. He would not let people off the boat until he could get off and block peoples’ paths so that he could ask for tips. Other visitors said “sorry I don’t have cash,” and he said “that’s okay I have venmo,” very much pressuring people to give him money. The alligator show was very underwhelming, it was just a guy in a pit full of alligators, and he spent the majority of the show not even talking about alligators. He claimed that the alligators were not “in captivity,” but there were 16 gators crammed into a small pit that was very unkempt and it was clear that their welfare was not a priority. There was a “baby alligator photo opportunity” and the baby alligators all had their mouths taped shut, very inhumanely. By the time we were done with the tour and show, the cafe and gift shop were already closed. There was nothing to do at the park, there was only the boat tour and the show. THIS IS NOT THE EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK!!!! To avoid getting back on the overcrowded covid-hazard bus, we had to order an Uber service to take us home. This was a -5/10 experience, we do not recommend. If you are looking for a better experience, I recommend going to the Everglades National Park instead.

Great airboat tour guide
Goichi_K
, Nov 2021
We got lucky on our tour; we saw 6 alligators from the airboat. The guide said it is a hit or miss. The guide explained a lot about Everglades and took time for us to take pics of the alligators. The airboat is loud and we should have brought earplugs.

Great experience, especially with the hotel pick up. We were gone for most of the day. Airboat ride and short alligator show.
