Overview

Bring home some new cooking techniques and a few recipes from Milan by taking this exciting cooking class. Learn from a professional chef how to make a few Milanese delicacies and specialties as you learn how to make a four-course meal of dishes such as risotto, gnocchi, ravioli, tiramisu and panna cotta, using fresh, seasonal ingredients purchased at a local market. When you're finished cooking, sit down and enjoy the meal, complemented by some locally produced wine.  Participants are limited to just six people, ensuring plenty of personalized attention from the chef.

Begin your cooking class by discussing the menu for that day while sipping tea or coffee with the chef and your fellow food lovers. The Milan cooking class takes place at the private home of Chef Clara on Piazza VI Febbraio where you'll learn new cooking techniques and the secrets to what makes the cuisine of Milan so delicious. 

Make four traditional dishes, the menu depending on what is in season. All the ingredients are purchased at the local market. 

Start making the course, which will be homemade risotto, pasta or gnocchi. Then move on to making the second course, a heart meat or vegetable dish such as ossobuco (braised veal), saltimbocca (veal and prosciutto) or a frittata. Top off your classic Italian meal with a dessert such as tiramisu, gelato, panna cotta, fruit cake or chocolate cake.

When the entire meal has been completed, the tasty phase begins: pull up a chair to the table and indulge in your four-course meal. Sip wine which has been selected to complement the food you're eating. At the end of the meal, get an extra perk up with a shot of Italian espresso. 

Then leave the chef's home with a booklet of the recipes you prepared that day, as well as a certificate acknowledging your participation in the class.

Thank you Clara for this perfect cooking class that made our visit in Milano perfect. I got this cooking class as a birthday present from my boyfriend and we had the best time. The food was amazing, we learned a lot about cooking and also about vine. We had a lot of fun and lots of laughing during the class - Clara and her husband are such lovely hosts. We couldn't ask for a more authentic Italian/milanese cooking class and are looking forward to cook the meal at home for our friends & family!

Highly recommend this cooking class. Chef Clara was friendly and organized which made the class run smoothly. She was very adaptable to a last minute menu change to accommodate every ones needs in the group. We made 4 local and seasonal dishes all which were excellent. She was very knowledgeable about local products and how to find them in other countries so we could duplicate them at home. I will definitely look up her class again next time I am in Milan.

Clara's Cook in Milan was a BIG highlight of our stay in Milan. We are 2 couples who were joined by 2 others to make-up an intimate cooking class in Clara's kitchen in Milan. Clara is a delightful instructor who gave us tips on how to cook Italian food along with the proper techniques in a 4 hour class that we will definitely recreate in our own kitchens at home. In our class we made Crespelle a crepe wrap with cheese, ham and sauce. Gnocchi al Ragout potatoe dumplings with bolognaise sauce, Risotto al pesto e Gamberi Italian rice with shrimp and basil sauce, and Tortino di Cioccolato Caldo hot chocolate lava cake. We totally were hands on in preparing each dish and also in getting to consume and taste our accomplishments at the end of the class. With Clara's expertise and training, the dishes we prepared were fantastic. This is definitely a must to do if you have a free morning in the city. Would love to return and take a second class!

My wife and I took a class with Clara and it was fantastic. The cooking and preparation tips she provided on all four courses were so easy to follow. Clara herself is personable, fun and she gave full attention and help to all 7 of us participating in the class. The recipes we made were some of Clara's grandmas recipes and they turned out great. My wife is a self professed Gnocchi hater and she loved the Gnocchi we made. The best part is sitting around enjoying the fruits of your labor with some perfectly paired wine Clara is not only Le Cordon Blue certified but also a Sommelier. If our future plans call for a trip to Milan, we will definitely look at taking another class from Clara.

Clara is a trained Cordon Bleu chef. So this is more than just a cooking class. It is an experience. We had such a wonderful time. We learned to cook traditional Milanese cuisine and it was presented to us in a manner that made it very achievable for the typical cook. We met some wonderful new friends and just had a truly great time. Sitting down together to eat our meal was memorable. This is one of the top experiences that we had while in Italy. Thank you for opening your home and kitchen Clara!

When we were in Milano, I searched for a vegetarian Italian cooking class that was taught in English. This class was a perfect fit. Clara was a consummate teacher. She distributed recipe books and discussed what we would be preparing. We washed our hands and were welcomed into her kitchen. She explained what she was doing and why. There were plenty of laughs while we were learning. Clara also shared information that will be useful when we buy Italian food and wine in the States. After the food was prepared, we all sat down at a beautifully set table to enjoy our homemade meal. Connecting with a native while you're traveling always is such a treat. Clara made our trip to Milano very special!
