Worth every penny!

James was a tremendous guide. This was a very moving tour. We learned so much about the treatment of the prisoners and about the conditions of the camp. In addition, we learned about the satellite camps related to Dachau. It was a valuable experience about a terror that occurred.
Fantastic tour

James out your guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He provided great background information prior to arriving at Dachau which helped to get a greater context of the site. I would highly recommend this tour for any history enthusiasts.
Historical tour of Dachau

James was a very informative, personable tour guide. He was at the meeting location early and made contact via text the day before to check in and see if we had any questions or concerns. He navigated us on the train and bus with no issues. We would highly recommend him and this tour.

James, our guide, provided a wealth of knowledge not only historical but the emotional aspects of this horrible place. It is an experience every person should take.

Definitely five stars for our tour guide James. It was definitely one of a kind experience and James with his knowledge about the place makes it more better.

Dachau tour

James was extremely knowledgeable on the history of Dachau and the context surrounding the Holocaust. His personal attention and dedication to the somber topic was heartfelt and genuine. The logistics of the day went smoothly and he answered all questions with thought and care. I highly recommend his tour. At then end of the day he even recommended a restaurant that I tried later in the evening - it was amazing. Thanks James and Paros!
A wonderful history lesson
, Oct 2021
As it turned out, we were the only ones booked on the day of our tour from Munich, so we had a private tour with James! Can't say enough about what a wonderful guide James is. His knowledge of and ability to communicate so much history of not only the Dachau concentration camp, but the entire camp system back in the days of WWII are second to none. He brought us through the rise of Hitler and the Nazi party, and gave us a real sense of what life was like for those who didn't fit the mold of who the Nazis thought they should be. It was a very sobering and very educational tour. The train and bus transfer to Dachau was flawless. James knows the schedules and did a great job of keeping us separate from several large school groups who were touring that day as well. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you're lucky enough to have James as your guide!
An Important Piece of History to Remember
, Oct 2021
It was an appropriately overcast and gloomy day for our visit to Dachau. Our guide, James, had a wealth of knowledge and I learned so much more than I could have on my own. It was clear that even after so many tours he was still deeply affected by the place. While not the type of tour people typically take vacations to experience, it's such an important piece of history that needs to be remembered. It was a bummer that many of the buildings were off limits due to Covid and the lack of ventilation, but obviously not the tours fault.
An informative day tour
, Sep 2021
James was a wealth of knowledge about the full history of Dachau. He provided a compassionate and unbiased accounting of the horrors and the reality of prisoners lives (and deaths) along with the reasons that Dachau existed. It was also greatly appreciated that James made our transportation totally worry free.
