Pickup is 30-45 minutes before rental or tour start time from in the front of the lobby or cruise port. Look out for the company vehicle which will have the logo on it “BOWCAR” There will only be a 5 minute wait after the time for late comers. If you miss your pickup please call or email to reschedule for the next available tour or rental.If a hotel is not listed please call to make pick up arrangements. We ONLY pick up from Major hotels and the Cruise port. NO REFUNDS FOR LATENESS!!
Hop in your very own open-top 4x4 UTV for an exciting day of exploring Nassau. First, choose your rental length and then ride off into Nassau, exploring the sites. Visit the stone stairway, Queen's Staircase, the 65 steps symbolizing each year Victoria was queen. Or spend some time on beautiful Arawak Cay and stop for some local grub and a drink at 'Fish Fry,' as locals call it: a collection of eateries serving local specialties. Don't pass up Fort Charlotte, the largest of the three forts on the island. The late-18th-century fortress was built by Lord Dunmore. See some evidence of very early life on the Bahamas at the Caves where 10th-century inhabitants lived. 

The UTV adventure and rental ends when you drop it off at the departure point.

  • Car seats/booster seats are allowed
  • Guests with neck, back or hip ailments, those who have had recent surgery and pregnant women will not be allowed to operate a Jeep or be a passenger in a Buggy
  • Guests under the influence, or appearing under the influence of alcohol or other substances, will not be allowed to operate a Buggy
  • Guests will be required to sign a rental contract at check in and leave a damage waiver of $500.00 per vehicle.

Top Notch Equipment and Excellent Experience for Couples or the Family

My wife and I rented a buggy during our cruise stop in Nassau for the day. It was a wonderful experience, from checking in at the Bowcar lot to the orientation on using the UTV and recommendations for stops during our excursion. Roy quickly picked us up from the port, even though we missed the pickup time. A simple phone call to the office sent the van back to pick us up. Checking in was a breeze with Alicia quickly taking down our information and getting us on our way in about 10 mins. Driving around Nassau on our own was a refreshing experience. We were able to see some of the sites at our own pace and go where we wanted. Wish had more time in port this time but we are returning in a few weeks with the rest of our family and plan to rent a UTV again. This excursion is worth every penny and an excellent value to have the freedom to explore Nassau at our own pace. We highly recommend this excursion for anyone wishing to explore on their own. Thank you Bowcar for a wonderful experience and we will be seeing you again in a few weeks.

We were picked up at the port and taken back to the office. Paperwork was easy and quick. All the staff we dealt with were super nice and informative. We have driven these type machines before, but the safety brief was good too. Would definitely do it again!

Disappointed- covid closes all forts and points of interest

The team circled points of interests for us on the map for us but 95% were closed such as the forts and straw markets. When we mentioned our trip was a bust and all we saw were 2 landmarks (in 4 hours), They pretended to be surprised... but come on, we've been in this pandemic for a year and a half and this was the first time your hearing all the landmarks were closed due to covid?! They could be upfront from the start, but then no one would book them.

When it comes to our rentals the staff job is to assist them in planning out a route that works best for them, which would include pointing out spot of interest and also things that the guest in fact want to do. A rental gives you free will to do what you wish to do. You mentioned 95% of the spots being closed that was pointed out to you. 1 of the 3 forts are closed, and as mentioned when you had returned in the caves is a structure that you venture in on your own, unless you were apart of a tour, and Jaws Beach was also one of the Highlights you mentioned not having anyone there. Jaws beach is a place to relax and enjoy the view away from everyone. Again we do apologizes that you weren't able to have a better experience. And also welcome you back in the near future. We rented our buggy for four hours… Absolute joy! Complete freedom to go anywhere on the island and very fun and safe to drive! Dwight and Alicia took care of us… Both were outstanding… Especially Dwight who took care of every need, all with that Bahamian warmth and sincerity. He is a gem!
