Not COVID safe but otherwise good

The guide/driver was really accommodating and friendly to no fault However poor performance due to not fully adhering to COVID rules / safety concern 1) return bus was pretty packed. combined from other tour 2) guests were either not wearing masks or not wearing it properly (over nose and mouth) during BOARDING or when seated in the bus with no one enforcing it otherwise The loud group of about 10 tourists at the return bus speaking loudly mostly without masks on and drinking alcohol in the bus just made things worse. (I was glad I was the first one off the bus in the return trip) One passenger was speaking without his mask on sitting right at the back of an elderly couple (this is just wrong) Recommend to self drive with a rental car unless you’re otherwise not concerned with the possibility of the same risk

We want to apologize for your experience. Our guests are well aware of the mask policy and our bus drivers do their best to make sure that each person has a mask on when they enter the bus. However, while the bus is moving, the driver's main job is to transport all of our guests to and from their destination safely, and that requires him to keep his eyes on the road. We treat our guests like adults and what they choose to do while the bus is in transport is out of the bus driver's control. Once again, we are sorry for your experience.

Swamp Tour

The Swamp Tour was OK - not too swampy. Did not expect to see alligators since we were visiting in December, but we did see one. Have been on other "swamp" tours that really were in a swamp environment.

I'm sorry that the tour was not what you expected. I see that you went on the tour boat, which requires it to be more in the open water due to the size. I recommend the small airboat in the future, which will allow the boat to fit into the smaller waterways and be able to go deeper in the marsh and swamp.

Retirement trip

Long day but well worth it. A little disappointed that our bus driver didn't talk much during the hour-long drive. The plantation is beautiful and very well kept. We are at the restaurant on-site and the food was very good with friendly staff. I got a few souvenirs in the gift shop. Swamp tour was interesting. Guide was very knowledgeable. Lots of gators!

We are sorry for your experience with the driver. Our drivers are only responsible for the transportation portion to the plantation and are not required to narrate as he or she is driving. However, some of our drivers willingly do, but it all depends on the driver. We do appreciate the positive review and feedback. Thank you!

This was a wonderful tour! The plantation was beautiful and the food there was delicious. The swamp tour was excellent and the guide, Chaz, gave us many opportunities to see alligators up close and personnal.

2 great places to visit on any trip to NOLA-- both quite close to city, to make a day trip to both feasible. Well organized and co-ordinated trip though perhaps a little pricey -really just transport & tickets for the sights- both of which were great- get a real feel for the history & culture of the area. A bit more time at Oak Alley to allow for lunch maybe? Swamp trip just about right amount of time. Glad I picked the slower, covered boat option- other options little on the noisy side. Guide made the effort to give lot of info- perhaps a little too much alligator chasing at times... good sometimes just to enjoy the ambience of the place. Over all v enjoyable.

I bought the tour online before. Because I think the weather is great but on the day of the tour, the rain came to heavy My driver her a very good service, friendly and kind. Oak Alley Plantation it very beautiful and big. and my favorite is Swamp Boat Tour The boat ride was fantastic - but rain and cold so we only saw 1 gators, but the scenery was beautiful and it was most enjoyable. Recommend

Plantation and Swamp Tour New Orleans
lmjacksonfayle

The Oak Alley Plantation was a fantastic experience highlighting life on a plantation. From life in the beautiful house to the life of their slaves. The Swamp Boat Tour was great fun and provided a history of the swamp to the flora and fauna in The Bayou and the sighting of the alligators! Both experiences were suitable for all age groups.
